The Museum of World Treasures is definitely a solid 4-star eperience for me.We visited this museum on a roadtrip home from Texas/Arizona. I dont have a lot of comparative experience with other museums, but we enjoyed the experience. Our price was $17 and some change for two people including a AAA discount. The museum is three floors and what I like a lot about this particular museum is how varied the exhibits are. You have dinosaurs (including some of the largest and most complete REAL skeletons in the world), rocks, roman empire artifacts, greek artifacts, mummies and egyptian artifacts, items from most of the recent wars, presidential memorabilia, movie props, and the list goes on. Overall I felt that only the first floor (dinosaurs, rocks, ancient civilizations, etc) was really exciting and engaging. The 2nd floor was mostly war items and lots and lots of documents (signed docs, autographs, etc). The third floor really didnt have much. I really liked that they had staff on hand just to be there and tell you about the exhibits and sometimes show you extra things (one employee came up and handed us a T-rex talon to look at). I recommend coming to this museum if youre traveling in the area. It was worth the price and was a nice and calm atmosphere. I can definitely empathize with those other reviewers saying that the museum didnt attract their kids attention, its definitely more adult-oriented--which was nice for us because there were less kids running around and lended to a nicer experience.

Treasures-R-Us. A lot of vaguely-described stuff ranging from a "Rare Urn" to a "Sport Coat Worn by John Wayne On Screen." Seems like someone with an extensive and expensive souvenir collection hired high school students to add documentation using Google. The first floor has fossils, including a t-rex skeleton. Also a jumble of ancient and not-so-ancient artifacts including Roman coins, antique pottery and a slab of the Berlin Wall. The second floor looks like it was bought up at liquidation sale for one of those autograph stores that sprang up in shopping malls a decade or so ago. Its mostly random documents signed by famous people framed with pictures of the people. One gem is a letter from the current Duke of Marlborough thanking the museums founder for showing him a photocopy of a letter signed by a previous Duke of Marlborough. The third floor has movie and sports memorabilia including a basketball signed by the 2008 Jayhawks. The World Treasurers Media Center sells copies of "Walking with Dinosaurs" and some History Channel DVDs. The shop sells a huge variety of replica knives and swords and little glass bottles. Its $10/person to get in. Probably worth it if your kids like fossils.

Our family loves coming to visit the Museum of World Treasures! My husband and I love the second floor with Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam War exhibits. Our kids love the dinosaurs on the first floor. My husband and I also appreciate the kids play area on the 3rd floor where our kids can dress up, put on puppet shows, build castles out of blocks, read, and color. Its a great section for our kids to be kids without disturbing the other museum patrons. This museum usually isnt too busy or crowded, except for discount days. The price is reasonable ($10/adult) especially with kids 3 and under entering for free. The generous woman at the cash register even let my 4 year old in for free today! Im fairly certain 4-12 year olds usually have to pay. This museum is very educational with a little bit of something for everyone. I highly recommend it for Wichita residents as well as for visitors!

Dr Kardatzke had a great idea starting this museum. It has continued to grow since it started several years ago. I love to roam through ancient times here. Beginning with cavemen and dinosaurs, you experience many time periods and cultures like Roman, Greek, and African. There is a hall of Presidents and Royalty with autographs and artifacts. The military galleries provide information on the different wars and has clothing and weapons from those times. The museum tops off with celebrity halls of fame which includes entertainers Beethoven and Elvis, and sports players like Joe DiMaggio and Muhammad Ali. The Museum Of World Treasures is a wonderful experience. Anyone traveling through Kansas should definately add it to their list of sight seeing adventures.

Impressed! We recently had our corporate awards ceremony in their banquet room. I really appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring everything went smoothly. As the event coordinator I have received multiple kudos about the location from participants. I appreciated the help on the front end with the AV equipment. They took care of the room setup, tables, lines, etc. I thought the caterers (from Corp Caterers) interacted well with the Museum staff. It showed in the overall execution. BTW - the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly... this is truly a treasurer in Wichita. I would give a glowing recommendation to anyone considering an event there.

A fantastic place to visit. Steeped in world history, it has a wonderful collection of many exotic objects from around the world. But not just a museum, there are plenty of small interactive activities to keep even the youngest child entertained. My personal favorite part of the museum was the geological collection, including a very large Geosit, very pretty look on. Also a wonderful collection of gold coins and other gold artifacts.Great place for kids and to visit your mummy. I very much enjoyed my visit but I wouldnt want to be an exhibit there.

A very random museum. Not the best museum and not the worst. A lot of the exhibits could have been better organised to make the flow better. Information could have been displayed better and made in a more accessible way. Context for each archaeological period and historical period needs to be placed in and more information about mummification and the preservation process.

The owners of the museum and the "C.E.O (former computer salesman who married into the family) ousted their daughter Teri K. Strong from the family for having a physical disability. The SRS has been alerted for their abuse of a family member with a disablity. Would you trust your children to be exposed to people who are documented suspected abusers of disabled people?

Great museum with artifacts from all different eras and parts of the world. If you are a history buff, then you need to visit this museum. 3 full floors of exhibits, a rotating display, one of the most complete t-rex skeletons in the world discovered here in Kansas, and a piece of the Berlin Wall are just a few of the reasons to visit this amazing place.

It was our familys first time visiting this museum & we loved it! We got in free because it was The Smithsonian Live Day, all we had to do was download some tickets online. There were so many interesting things to see & learn. I especially like the prehistoric periods & the ancient Egyptian periods. Our family would definitely come back again to visit!

Managed to go on customer appreciation day. Tickets were only $3 for adults. For that price I think it was worth it. Its a great place to take your kids but not an overly entertaining place for adults. The staff was friendly and informative. The gift shop is something to be desired.
