Me and my buddies went to Kansas city for a long weekend and we went the final day of the masters and there was no one on the course for the final round of our tournament. It was still early in the season but the course was in great condition and well taken care of . One of the best public courses I have ever played for the price . It is in a very upscale community and the pictures do not do this course justice. An absolute must if your in the Kansas city area its worth the drive.

Great golf course in terrific shape. Made tee time early morning and was able to play that day with kids. Course was tight but fair. They had just had flash flooding the previous weekend and the course staff had to have worked hard to revive it. You could tell water was on the course and on some greens but only a small number of bunkers were yet to be refilled. Great staff, nice club house, really good food! Highly recommend - would play again anytime.

Played this morning, no course starter at 1st tee. We were not told at check in that we were to be paired with others. Maintenance workers all over the front nine, did not stop at all to allow play to proceed. Had to dodge sprinklers on every other hole. Yet, course monitors indicated that we needed to speed up play. On the second hole, we waited 10 minutes for maintenance worker to water down the tee box. Not a good experience at all.

Great place to practice! The driving range, sand traps, putting greens, chilling area, and par 3 - three hole course make this perfect for dusting off the Cobb webs. The staff is very friendly, and the food is pretty good for a golf course. The clubhouse is nice and a good spot to watch sports after your round (big flat screens). My only knock on the place is he price for 18 holes, a bit steep (otherwise it would be 5 stars in my book).

The course is always in OK shape ... usually bare spots on and around the greens and last week was no exception. Most of the golf courses in Johnson County are in great shape right now due to the mild temperatures, but not Ironhorse Golf Club. The clubhouse is nice, the staff was nice and the practice facilities were nice. Overall its a nice track but the course is never in great shape.

Great Golf Club. Has the feel of a Johnson County Private Club but is open to the public. Jeff and his staff really know how to run the place. The food is good, the golf shop is great, and the staff is over the top. Also, they are now offering Car Wash and Detailing Services. What a great golf club. Keep up the good work guys!

Great golf experience!! The city of Leawood and Troon management have done a fabulous job of improving this golf course and the facilities. The staff is awesome and the golf experience is definitely one of the best in the metro area.

Great course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. Im from a different state with flatter, links style courses. The hills and multi level holes were interesting and challenging.

I agree-I WILL NEVER PLAY. Leawood has managed to take a great layout and continue to downgrade it annually. The greens are worse than before they replaced them. Management is horrible.

I am a big fan of Ironhorse. The staff is friendly and course is in excellent shape. They are redoing the traps with better sand and I appreciate the upgrade.
