Joe Murphy is as professional as they get, and while I cant speak to anyone elses opinion, I can offer my own experiences. Ive played in live bands, run corporate events with over 1000 attendees, and been married, all to the music that Murphy Sound has provided. Even if hes not able to attend himself, hes incredibly selective about the people he trains and employs, and theyre careful to help support a party without joining it personally. Ive never had an equipment problem - microphone, speaker or otherwise - and the sound has always been loud enough to get people up but quiet enough not to make people deaf. (a rare balance) If youre looking for a party, wedding or a gig (theyve done all three for me, including my IMU wedding for 350) Murphy Sound is an excellent and reliable solution. -Aaron Warner IC local, sponsor of IDTs corporate holiday parties, singer in a band and married guy :)

the owner joe murphy from Iowa City is rude and unprofessional. i would not recommend this sound system company to anyone. there are way more professional companies around in Cedar Rapids that caters to Iowa City events. Avoid Murphy Sound, its shady and dishonest.
