I would really like to know how it is not a health violation that the bathrooms in the theater that I am assuming the employees use.. Require you to hold down the handle in the sink with one hand to get the water out. How can you possibly wash your hands properly with one hand???? Then they are preparing and handling peoples food thats just nasty. Then behind the food counter there was so much trash on the floor it was ridiculous!!! There was someone cleaning the windows on the theater doors when the food court was trashed. I dont think that should of been the top priority at the time. Then the food I did order was not priced the same as it stated on the sign. The seats, floor, bathrooms and pretty much everything was terribly outdated. Worse theater I have been to in my life!!! As much as this theater charges for there food they should be able to afford some updates not to mention the popcorn doesnt even taste like Movie Theater popcorn and they dont even do refills on there drinks.

I hate that this theater gets so much hate! Though it might need renovations, it is still a quality choice. The theater attendants are the nicest Ive encountered and are generally pretty helpful in regards to helping you save a few dollars. In regards to price, the only thing that I find that Encore doesnt do is refill your drinks. The prices are seemingly the SAME. Seeing films in a theater isnt the most cost efficient choice, so you will spend more than what you want to. For reoccurring movie goers, get the annual bucket because it basically pays for itself. Another thing, dont use a theater as a restaurant. Eat before you go so you spend less. Lastly, Linway doesnt make me feel like Im in an actual movie theater anymore. Whenever I go to Encore, it reminds me of how I felt seeing movies when I was toddler. That nostalgia has made me a repeat customer.

I am still in shock with their prices. I took my 2 small grandchildren. 3 tickets $34.70-WOW! Then refreshments, 1 Popcorn, 2 Nachos, 3 Drinks, 3 Candies, are you ready for this $56.30. I asked for a print out because I was in disbelief. One of the line items was $20.50 and said "Combo", so I asked what that was, the gal told me that was to save me money. Well what is it for? 1 Popcorn & 2 Sodas -- $20.50 !!! I realize they need to make profit, but this is ridiculous!! I will NEVER go there again!!!! Niles has the best movie theatre and prices in the area -- I have always wondered why so many out of state plates in their parking lot -- now I know. The tickets would have been $10.00 and the refreshments less than $25.00 in Niles but instead I got gouged for $91.00 !!!!!! It wont happen again!!

I am a Quad. and as a wheelchair user this theater is bad, the threshold to the doors to get in the building and out all have a 1 1/2 to 2 inch step, so someone has to hold the door for you so you can get the power to go over it. There is no handicap door that a person in a chair could open on their own. The prices are high for everything and the area for wheelchair users need updated. If you are Lucky you will get a place next to a regular seat for your companion (that is not broke) many times you sit by yourself because the seats next to and in front of the wheelchair area are the first ones taken. It really should not get any stars. I think the only reason people go here is because there isnt anything else close by. And the have the sound so loud your ears are ringing when you leave.

Its convenient and not terribly priced, all things considered. The lack of stadium seating and the single couples cuddler chair (that had a big gash with cushioning falling out) on the end of one aisle are both signs of its age, but the picture and sound were both without issue, and the seats were still comfortable for a two hour film. There are better theaters in the area with better facilities, but the best theater in Michiana is on the far southwest side of South Bend (tucked inside the north/east bend of the bypass/31), and the rest dont offer much different from this (the Elkhart) one to stand out. With the current growth and revitalization of Elkhart, renovating this place might draw more attention.

I have been here many times and keep promising Ill never return. Last film I saw was Spectre. After 25 minutes of adds and trailers, we were ready...Once again I was disappointed...This time there was no surround sound. How can that be? A cinema is supposed to be better than a home theater! Also, several times I have been to shows where they dimmed the projector bulb setting because the theater was practically empty. A dirty trick to save money. Others have well-mentioned the shortcomings of this business. My recommendation is to drive to Linway in Goshen or to Mishawaka.

Lets see, the prices of the tickets and concessions are pretty expensive, so Id rather drive 30 minutes to the other AMC theater, because is cheaper and updated. The seats are uncomfortable and small. Some of the theater rooms have poor seating positions The entrance is in the middle, so you are seated to the sides and not in front of the screen unless you seat in the front. Overall, I only come here as a last option if I dont want to make the drive to South Bend. And its more expensive than the theater with reclining seat couches nearby.

I happen to think, despite the naysayers, that this theather is conveniently placed and is exceptional at doing what it does: playing movies. Complaining about the prices is ludicrious because most if not all theaters are like that. Snacks have nothing to do with the theater either. When it comes to theathers, as long as youre not from the hayday of theather, then you wont think youre being gyped in some way. Its a theater, it plays movies, it sells popcorn and candy at the same price everyone else does.

I have been to this theatre since a kid. Unfortunately it has been ran into the ground. Its dirty and not maintained, which is not what the ticket prices reflect. You can go to Mishawaka and sit in a recliner and get a 3D movie for the same price. You cant tell me they arent making extra off ticket prices, when theatres claim that is just to rent the film. You also have to sit through more commercials than anywhere. To think they wanted help from the city to redo it. Try new ownership instead.

This movie theater sucks. The ticket prices are only average and the concessions are ridiculously overpriced. $6.25 for a large drink and thats the only way to get free refills. With stupid high prices like that youd think they would remodel and put in some decent new seats, but not this place. The seats are crazy uncomfortable. If I ever want to see a movie and this place is the only option at the time, Ill wait to rent it or find a better theater the next day!

This cinema needs to be updated. The chairs are uncomfortable and some are really dirty. The popcorn is extremely expensive, taking into account that there are no refills included. For the quality of the experience, the cost is high. However, the variety of movies available and show times available are very good. In some cases, there are many more opportunities for me to be able to see a movie at this theater in comparison to other theaters nearby.
