This was the 5th escape room Ive done, and while it wasnt the worst, it was far from the best. We did the Bank Heist room. Its rated as their second most difficult room, and has a pretty low success rate. We expected a challenge, and I actually wouldnt mind failing to escape in time. We didnt escape, but I dont feel it was because the rooms puzzles were beyond us. Without spoiling anything, it basically amounted to an overabundance of keys and locks to match them to, and a few combinations to open safes. The difficulty of the room came not in finding the keys or combinations, nor in matching them to a lock, but in actually opening the 1920s era locks themselves. More than once, the room guide had to stop the clock and step in to verify we were trying the right key or combo, then tried it himself before just having to tell us what was inside. That wasnt even the end of the artificial difficulty. Our group of 6 was filled out to the rooms maximum of 10 by a mom and her 3 minor children, none of which had ever done a room before. Every other escape room Ive done only allows children to play if you buy out the booking. This place had no problem letting kids trash our chances of escape. Remember, this was their second hardest room! Not once did they ask if they maybe wanted to try an easier one for their first ever room. Not once were we asked if it was cool a couple of 10-year-olds joined in. They just want your cash here, and the experience they provide isnt worth it. At least not for the Bank Heist.

The Escape Room is new to Indianapolis. It is a team-based game where players discover clues, solve puzzles, and escape the room within 60 minutes. Maximum number of players for each room varies from 6 to 12 friends or strangers, depending on your game choice. After recently visiting similar games in several cities in the south east, (some challenging, some not) I rate this location 2 stars for now. They still have some issues to work out but that goes with any new business. Unfortunately, the owners could have avoided most of their problems by visiting other escape games in nearby cities. At this location, gamemasters for each room tend to go off script and either leave out important information or give too many clues. Some puzzles are poorly constructed (i.e. pulling out of the wall, duct-taped, easy to break). And 12 players in a single room is too crowded for the small number of clues and even smaller area to work on them. The sale of alcohol is definitely a plus. Once the bugs are worked out, this should be a great escape experience. I just hope that is sooner than later.

I came here with my family and attempted the bank heist. I was the only one in my group of 7 that had any experience with an escape room, so I was nervous to attempt a room with only a 20% escape average. Although we were inevitably bitter about not escaping the room with all gold bars, I wouldnt have chosen another experience. I felt as though we were challenged, and anything less wouldnt have been engaging enough. Although, pick whatever makes you comfortable! All of the staff was cordial and hospitable, especially our coordinator, Chris! My only complaint is that some of the clues and objects that were necessary to the escape wouldnt open, and we had to have Chris come in and help us. That seriously killed our time and I feel it contributed to our failure. I understand that the equipment was old (to reflect the roaring 20s) but it really irked me; however, I bet the other rooms have better equipment. Get in this place, test your wit, and have a good time!

Such a fun experience! Ive done a few of these types of events in the past (in another city), but this one really felt the most refined. It wasnt simply a room (or couple rooms) with a series of puzzles - it was as if you were in a few rooms of a museum, with plenty of touches added to build the feeling of being somewhere other than an escape room. Another difference from other rooms Ive done elsewhere is that the assistant isnt with you as you try to figure out how to escape. Kelly, in our case (who was fantastic!), could see what we were doing via security cameras in the room, and could communicate with us either via the timekeeping monitor, or the walkie=talkie we were given when we began. The puzzles were fun, and satisfying to complete. We made it out of the room without using any hints, and with minutes to spare. I would definitely go back to try another one of their rooms in the future.

I went with friends on a spur of the moment excursion to Escape Room Indy with a vague idea of how things worked. We arrived and waited to begin our escape in a large room with other groups. They serve beer and wine in the waiting area, which people seem to take advantage of in hopes of getting the creative juices going. Without giving too much away, I will say that the room we chose was unbelievably challenging. When they say look for clues everywhere, seriously look for clues everywhere. But also dont get thrown off by red herrings. Solving the puzzle requires tons of teamwork, communication, and a good sense of humor. Even though my team didnt make it out, we all had a great time and would do it again (though probably an easier room!).

We went for a bachelor party and did the bank heist game. The waivers could be completed online which made check in very quick and easy. The lobby had very comfortable seating and refreshments were available with beer and wine, which could also be taken into the room with you. Our mob boss Chris really helped set up the scene for us and helped us when we ran into problems. The room was challenging with multiple tasks that made the whole group contribute. Would definitely go back and try the other rooms.

We completed the Bank Heist with 6 people and it was down to the last second! Just like in the movies where you are breaking into a safe and the clock is ticking away! The room was a great way to bond with new people, and took aspects from every person to complete. Isaiah aka "shorty" was our mob boss/room moderator and helped us along the way and did a great job adding to the feel of the game and making us laugh. We are looking forward to completing more rooms!

This place is so cool. it was not the easiest one and we got done with the mission and escaped with less then 11 mins to go. Fun puzzles and a real sense of satisfaction when you solve a riddle and move on to the next. Definitely I should go back to try another puzzle with new friends. But I recommend you to go with a small group. And also nice people work there and very helpful :)

Super fun room-we did the bank robbery. Our "room guide" was a little unenthusiastic and failed to mention some of the "rules". Overall though a good experience. If you have less than 10 people you might get combined with another group so keep that in mind. Right on time to start the room and it is in a cool older style building. Several rooms to choose from.
