Will not go back.... Paid $45.00 I have played this course 5/2/15 for over 10 plus years 2-3 times a year when it was Old English and since Lucas bought it a large amount of improvements have occurred. The course has new carts, paved cart paths, greens in great shape fairway a little blotchy and no grass in spots, tee boxes ok, sand traps some new ones and a couple with no sand in them lakes dry. I never saw anyone behind me all day I caught up with 2 guys on hole 4 so I sat back and enjoyed the view and talked and let them get several holes in front,I like the course and enjoy playing the course.I play golf by myself and my wife rides along I have tried to get her to play even bought her clubs. The problem I have they now are charging $10.00 for her to ride, Nevel Meade charged me this one time over 8 years ago I have never been back and that is a lot nicer course than Lucas. I can go to any course and pay less than $50.00 and not be charged for a rider fee. Champions Pointe, newly renovated Valley View, I can even drive to Indy and play The Fort or Praire View.

We arrive to play a round of golf to find the club house, carts and course in extremely worn condition because of a recent foreclosure. We still decided to play a round since we drove 70 to get there and the cost was only $20 with a cart. The fairways and green are still maintained (mowed) but lack watering. Most of the lakes are dried up and the sand traps are grown over with weeds. I could see this course was a great one in its day and was told by an employee that Lucas Oil will be purchasing the course and will soon be revamped to its former glory. But it is my opinion the course should be closed until then because of the dangerous condition on the cart paths. The cart paths between the 13th and 16th hole are extremely dangerous because of the up hill and down hill travel on what I would consider a four wheel driving adventure for golf carts with loose gravel and boulders one must drive over to the next tee box. If you are not paying attention it will become dangerous fast.

I visited this restaurant on 8/11 while on business in Crawford County. While the food at the clubhouse was good and the service was ok, I apparently read the menu wrong and was shocked when I paid more for my meal than expected. I guess Ive spent too long going to restaurants in the "big city" (Indianapolis) to realize that the line Make any sandwich a basket for $4.99 and add two sides meant $4.99 IN ADDITION to whatever the original sandwich cost... I felt mislead especially for the overall quality - I paid $13-ish for a sandwich and two sides. When I asked about my apparent misunderstanding the staff member who rung me up was rather rude and I didnt appreciate it. Also, Im not a golfer either, but the greens didnt look all that well kept for carrying the Lucas Oil name...

If you live in English, IN this would be a course you wouldnt mind playing. However, if you have to travel an hour or more, there are a lot better courses you could play. The staff was wonderful, the food was pretty good {nothing special} but the course was a cow pasture with a layout that was all over the place. The fairways were decent but the rough had a lot of weeds that would make your Ballls disapeer like the Bunny Ranch in Vegas. The greens were in good shape but each hole had a hard break around the pin. Putts would roll good but would breakoff hard about 1 foot from the hole. The breakoffs were undetected and unreadable. The driving range was a mowed field with balls so old they look like they were dug up by archaeologist.

Best place to eat around. They recently started using Merkely meats. Service is usually pretty bad, expect to sit for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledges you. Good food, if you wait. Course is good quality. Lots of elevation changes and grasses are in decent shape. $35 for 18 holes.

The golf course is in great shape. Very nice. Service in the club house was on point and the food was delicious. Cant wait to go back and play again. If you dont play golf at least stop by and have something to eat. We had Breaded Mushrooms and a Breaded Tenderloin. Yum!!

Lucas Oil has spent major time and money repairing this beautiful course located in the old town of English. Well priced for bucket of balls at their driving range as well as 9 holes of golf with a cart. Spent under 50.00 total - great value!

Course was in great shape minus #18 that they are still working on clean up after 11 inches of rain...Greens fabulous. Plush fairways... Challenging course. Very courteous workers. Delicious lunch menu as usual!!

This course has come a long way. Still needs a little TLC , but a very fun layout with some risk reward. Great course for the price and good food also.

The experience was great very friendly and good food but they just need a better AC unit to keep up with the heat. The tenderloin was great.
