This is a great little hidden gem! I used to live by this park and was surprised it barely got any visitors yet its a great size and feels like your really secluded. Its not a huge park but fun to wander and sit and relax. They are open till sunset and overall a great park! Loved coming here when I was closer. Plenty of parking always and really well kept!

A little hidden nature refuge in Skokie. While not huge, there are enough trails and interesting things to see to keep the younger ones interested. We go to their "Pancake Breakfast in the Woods" event every year and have a blast with those we wrangle into tagging along.

This is the perfect place to "walk the trails" with your toddler. Not crowded on a Thursday morning in summer. Great shade, great playground, amazing inside leaning area (small but so well done). Cant wait to come back (easy parking lot).

Nice walking trails. Parallels a bike path. Clean restrooms. Water which includes a spout for refilling water bottles. Woodland Wander Inn for the little ones. Room rentals for parties. Parking available. Grounds open till sunset.

A wonderful pocket-sized sanctuary in the midst of suburbia. Lots of wildflowers, birds, and the occasional deer. Paved quarter mile loop allows the use of a wheelchair or rolling walker. Plenty of parking.

The nature center has interesting interactive activities for the kids. There are two 1/3 miles loops. The scenery is beautiful and you can spot some turtles on the pond

Great place to bring the kids in the summer. But in the winter there is a fantastic snow and ice themed festival with all sorts of great activities for kids.

Beautiful and accessible ... I am able to walk there from home as a Skokie resident. Many activities for all ages. A mini get away!
