Came here with my wife and another couple. None of us had ever done an escape room before, so we werent sure what to expect. We ended up having a great time doing the Mad Scientist room! Jackson did an awesome job preparing us for what to expect. As he mentioned during his intro, he would provide tips IF it appeared we were getting completely stuck on a task. He did a good job of guiding us in the right direction when we really appeared to have no idea or were veering off in the completely wrong direction. It was nice to be left on our own to try and solve the puzzles, but not waste all our time working to overcome one step. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has never tried an escape room, but has been interested. The room can accommodate up to 8 people, but we only had 4 in our group and nobody else booked to join us. That was actually ideal, because 8 seems like it may have been too many. As Jackson mentioned at the start, the tasks are pretty linear, so you usually need to focus your attention on the one at hand before going on to something else. 8 people crowding around the same clue feels like it may have been too many, especially if you dont know 4 of those people. We were all happy with Jackson, Vault Escape, and are definitely looking forward to coming back to try Inheritance.

My work team (a neuroscience lab at Northwestern) visited Vault Escape for some fun and bonding outside of the work environment and it turned out to be an amazing team building experience! Not only did all my employees have a great time, but it was really enlightening to observe their interactions as they solved the puzzles. Despite the fact that we work together every day, I was surprised by which team members emerged as leaders, how and when different ideas were considered and who had the most creative, “outside-the-box” ideas that ended up being vital in moving the group ahead in the game. I would recommend Vault Escape highly to groups of people interested in improving their group dynamics in creative problem solving and to managers like myself who can gain a lot of insights by observing these interactions. Absolutely loved it! Went with my roommate & we had a blast. Id never done an escape room before, but have always liked solving clues, riddles, etc. so i was super excited to try this place out...and it exceeded expectations! We did the inheritance room & some clues were definitely challenging but still solvable (maybe with the help of a hint), so youre still progressing and not just stuck on one clue the entire time. The owner was SUPER friendly & made the experience all the more enjoyable! Theres another room called the "Mad Scientist" & weve already got plans to go back. I would (and have) recommend it to anyone! Such a fun night - and we didnt even escape!

Set in an unassuming storefront on Harlem, this place rocks. Our time at Vault Escape was AWESOME!! It was my first escape room and I was a little nervous since Im not usually good at riddles and puzzles, but this was one of the most fun things I have done in a long time. The staff are great. David did an awesome job of letting us sweat a little bit but prompting us with clues when we got too stuck. We got out with 57 seconds to spare and felt super accomplished. I highly recommend this for a work outing or just for fun with friends.

Visited the Vault Escape Room for a date night with my boyfriend....it was a great time! We were the only two booked for the night and we had a so much fun trying to escape. Love this escape room and location! I would also like to add how pleasant Sarah is in making sure you are comfortable and that everything goes smoothly for your escape room experience. I would not identify myself as a "puzzle person", but both myself and our group of 8 had a blast! It was a great combo of twists and turns and an excellent venue for groups of friends or co-workers looking for a team building exercise or a fun night out. Well be back soon to check out the newly launched second room. Great activity for friends and family of all ages. Definitely check them out!

This escape room was the first one Ive ever been to, and it was an amazing first experience! The clues were very interesting and really made you think to figure out the next step. Even though it was our first time, we almost made it out. The puzzle was a ton of fun, and it was a great way to spend an hour with a friend/friends. Additionally the staff, especially David, was really helpful.

What a terrible escape experience. We have done rooms all over, this was by far the worst. The owner has terrible customer service, amateur room setups, the room we did had no plot line, it basically was a huge waste of time. Go to a real escape room instead of wasting time and money on terrible rooms. My five year old could have escaped with his eyes closed.

Me and my mentee (12 yr old) had a blast trying to escape from the Inheritance room. We were only two puzzles from the end! Definitely challenging enough for two people. Ben and Jackson (I believe were their names) from Vault Escape were great getting us prepared for the room. Friendly staff, cool stories, tubular time!

Ive been here twice (they have 2 awesome rooms) and had a blast both times! The rooms are well thought out and challenging. Great for a night out with friends or family. I highly recommend this place for a uniquie experience. The staff is wonderful and I look forward to new rooms in the future.

Our group attempted to escape the Mad Scientist room and it was absolutely phenomenal! The owner is courteous, kind, and super fun! They do an excellent job designing their escape rooms to be broad reaching and encourage significant out-of-the-box thinking. Their escape rooms are a must!

It blows your mind. Really. A great group activity that makes everyone think. You need to work as a team and CAREFULLY think things through. Lots of puzzles that must be solved at a rapid pace. The best part is after your done. Plenty of laughs figuring what you did right or did wrong.

We just did the Mad Scientist room. It was awesome! The puzzles are challenging and fun. The owner was so nice and just talking to her you can feel the passion she has for the game. I cant wait to get my team (family) back together and try the other room.

Super fun to do with family or friends - good time was had by all! We were in the Inheritance room and it was our first time but we were able to do it! Cayden was great explaining the process and setting us up for success. Would do it again sometime
