I like to say of Countryside - Prairie: "best golf for the money." The course is laid out modern style with very nice greens and plenty of fairway space. And the greens/tee boxes arent on top of each other. The course is well-maintained. The rangers are reasonable and the management responsive if one of them needs a talking to (which I did a month ago and was impressed with the swift management response). There are other impressive courses in the area (e.g., Steeplechase, Stonewall, Pine Meadow), but theyll run you about double to triple the price of the Prairie.

Great public county course with two 18 hole courses. We played the prairie course, which is a links course with plenty of undulation through its fairways. The greens were deceptively flat when we played, looking like lots of side movement, but it was anything but. Multiple holes where getting aggressive can reward you, but if you dont hit it perfect you will be punished.

Another great course in illinois. For years I have been meeting several buddies every other saturday at different courses throughout chicago mainl but after playing them all, we eventually find yourself venturing off, if you like long nice often tees than you will love this place. Great staff, friendly prices all around good course. Worth the drive for 5 chicago guys.

Good course close to home, only complaint is front office usually had no idea whats going on from a tee time perspective. They dont know how to manage slots and letting people go off the back 9.... Always an issue

The Prairie course is a nice open course that can be very forgiving. The course can be challenging with shot selecting at times, but is not very difficult because of the openness.

This place had great cross-country skiing in the winter, and a ski rental place as well. Its a good place for a fun afternoon in the winter or summer! The mini golf course is fun.

Andy likely .... But serious its a solid course. Kinda far from Chicago but i tend to play here at least once a year, FYI the bar "the mill" down the road is a must.

The bugs on this course are out of control. It practically makes it unplayable. The staff was very unfriendly. Much better courses in the area for this price.

Well priced golf but no beverage carts. Ive been here six times on the Prairie Course and to no avail, no bev cart. Just bring your own beer...
