Millions for a rebuild and its pretty much the same. You get some redesign on 1, 10, and 18. You also get greens that need a windmill and a free round if you make the putt. When they redesigned this course they thought of the guy who can spin a 56 degree wedge from 100 out and stop it in literally a 5 yard radius of the hole. This redesign is not for the typical muni-golfer, which I am, and most of us are. There are spots on these greens where you cannot get to the hole putting it, and if you do... open your eyes after you make it. $25 bucks for twilight is a good catch but thats about it for this track. If I were a Mt. Prospect tax payer I would be upset that millions got spent on this redesign. With the clubhouse and the redesign Mt. Prospect Park District is throwing good money after bad at this place.

Yes its newly designed and the greens are elevated and mostly surrounded by bunkers on every hole. However, there are paved cart paths that coupled with tight fairways, will put your ball out of play at least twice a round. One great thing about the bunkers is that the sand is playable and predictable. This is an exception to nearly every other public course in Chicago. So the sand gets 5 stars. The staff, GPS on the carts get 5 stars, clubhouse 5 too. But the cart paths, for those of us who cant always hit a target, get zero.

Course remodel is good. The cost is way to much for a public park district course. Also, very busy and still backed up to hole 5. Great range. No Rangers to move the groups properly. Way to many students out on course from golf teams. The best aspect of the course is the range and that is taking a beating as well. And one more thing.... please let the weekend golfers know to fix their divots.

Phenomenal renovation that draws inspiration from 1910s, 1920s Classic golf. It’s tough for a shorter course, but never ending fun and interest – this will never play the same way twice. If you want to play flat little golf courses with circle greens, there’s plenty out there for you. Go find it! Mt Prospect has become one of the more interesting public courses in the Chicago area.

Average course with high prices and very tough greens. I was expecting alot more from the renovation that took almost 2 years. Why did they re-do the course? It is in very good shape and looks very pretty but the greens ruin everything. There are so many better courses in the NW burbs that there is no reason to play this course. I wont be back.

The course is maintained in very nice condition. That bring said, after the recent work the course is no longer fun. Nearly all the greens are multi tiered and severely sloped. It is worth playing simply because it is interesting. There is a fantastic practice area here as well as a grass range.

Pleasant round, cold water coolers every few holes was great....course in pretty good shape. Greens were fast and pin placements were brutal on some holes....very challenging! I did have trouble pushing my tee in on some tee boxes, rock hard in spots. Overall nice!

This course blew away my expectations. This is a really fun (though short) test of golf. What it lacks in distance it makes up in shotmaking. A definate must play for the Suburban player! Would give it 5 stars if the course conditions were stepped up.

This is a solid course ( and practice facility) all the way around...beware - fast greens! Allow a bit of time to practice before you play. Luckily the pro shop gave us that good advice, it was much appreciated.

While about 60% of the routing remains unchanged, all of the greens have been redone. The green complexes make this course a fun challenge. Green in regulation means little as each green has multiple sections.

Fast greens and lots of bunkers. Challenging but beautiful course and surroundings. Only hole I didnt like was 17 wrt layout. Otherwise will return. Pace of play pretty good. Crowded on weekday afternoon.

Mount Prospect Golf Course is absolute garbage and so is there management... Played 4 holes and got rained out... They wouldnt give me a rain check??? seriously, never playing there again!

We just golfed the front 9 here and the course was beautiful, well groomed and well marked. The new revisions to the course upgraded the look remarkedly! And I only lost 2 balls!

Nice practice area. Vending machine for balls--$10 for 75 balls. The short game area is pretty good, although there are way too many divots, but that cant be helped.

Interesting layout, fast and difficult greens, and not unreasonably long. Wouldve given it five stars but for the traps, which arent in great shape.

Love their fairways and greens, it is all bent grass all redone a couple years ago. Staff is friendly and thoroughly enjoyed the round.

This is a HARD course, its build like the courses in the 1920s I believe, it was a major challenge but a lot of fun!
