" THE MOTHER OF ALL PARKS " ! My first time at this Park . I came to Scout an Event for CHICAGO MARKET CO-OP that is Hosting a Meet Up on Saturday (1/JUL/2017) . Its a Meet Up for our Owners and Kids . Also , to Promote our Nascent Food CO-OP and prospective Owners . And its a Pot - Luck and Im bringing (Food) & Wiffel-Balls & Bats . In hopes of Inciting a Home Run Derby Series (Future Games) . We are occupying the area around the Play Lot in the South West Corner of the Park . The entire SouthSide of the Park has several Baseball Fields & Designated Flora Areas all Delineated meticulously . There are Tennis Courts peppered in the Center & Towards the Northhalf of the Park . Along with a Football / Soccer Stadium on the NorthWesterly side of the Park . The Park is Picturesque and Manicured Very Diligently ! These pics all either show the Play Lot (Argyle & Leavitt) , or the Wiffel-Ball proposed Confines (Imaginary) . That area is on the WestSide (Of The Park) opposite Winnemac Street and +/- 100 East of the East R.O.W. Line of Leavitt Ave. !

A nice park, about half a walking area and the other half a field with a baseball area, the outfield of which has a setup for goals or uprights. Theres also another baseball field with a pretty small outfield. The fields seemed to be in high demand, so I expect they generally have to be reserved and paid for. Every patch of field was being used, and the frisbee-ers seemed a bit constrained as to space. There was decent grass, even only shortly after the snow had melted. The field with the uprights isnt flat, but its clean and decently grassy/not a huge dust patch. Theres a parking lot and a bunch of street parking around, so no problem there, at least on a weekend. The bathroom situation is annoying--you have to go into the school, but to get in you have to go all the way around the building to the far side from the field, and you cant get out the back, either, so youre basically doing laps around the building, and thats not quick.

One of my favorite weekend spots. Very large park, and it has it all. Full sized soccer stadium with a public running track. 2 full sized baseball fields, 3 childrens baseball field. Public soccer goals in the north field. It contains two schools: Amundsen High School and some k-8 place. It contains two decently sized playgrounds. On Saturdays and Sundays, the park is extremely busy. Lots of people like bringing their dogs and becomes a mini dog park.

A gem in the city and a big reason I moved to this neighborhood. Great park for dog walking. Have met many wonderful dogs and their owners. The well maintained prairie is beautiful throughout the season. Not uncommon to see a falcon or hawk. As such, no pigeons. The park and surrounding neighborhoods are well patrolled.

Its a park, you go there, do things, fun in the sun, badda bing badda boom. This one I used to really walk through enroute to my bffs crib who used to live nearby, Id jog here in their nice track as well. Very spacious, not as good as some of my favorite preferred ones but its still pretty decent.

Playground is showing its age, but large loop paths make it a great park for running or kids biking. Nice open spaces for flying kites. Some nice tennis courts, but you have to tell the dog owners to get out. Jordnt Field is nice free running laps, but hours are limited.

We live a block from this park, and this is the primary reason we are ok living here indefinitely without worry. If you are a dog owner, parent, an athlete, or just a decent person age 0-150 that enjoys life, youll be at home here at the park.

Such a great space in the neighborhood! The paths are great for walks or adding some green to a run. I especially love the gardens of prairie plants. There are often sports or community events during the warmer months.

This was the park I went to growing up as a kid. Its since been remodeled. Its a great, clean park that offers a variety of activities. There is a childrens playground, running tracks, tennis courts, parking and more.

Lots of field and green space, big strolling trails, a prarie grass area. Kinda light on trees. The playground is also not that impressive for the size of the park, still a great neighborhood park next to Amundsen

The preservation of green space in Chicago is a must. Gorgeous park with baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and a running track. I walk my dog through the park everyday. One of the best places in all of Chicago.

A beautiful prairie oasis in the middle of Ravenswood, Winnemac Park is delightful for a meandering walk in almost any season. It also boasts some of the only public tennis courts on the far North Side.

Really everything you could want in a park. I love running here in the morning, and bringing my dog in the afternoon. Would be great for a picnic, too. Lots of fields and playground options, too!

Very nice park. Clean and quiet. The only downside is that its next to a high school and they sometimes use the park for athletic events.

Large park. Its great because in addition to the mowed areas there are beautiful "wild" areas of tall grasses and flowers.
