All in all, Howard Community Center is a really good resource for the neighborhood, and the people that run the program are awesome. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars, I had my son go to pick up the food bank items, as we have both been out of work, and I had an appointment that morning, and when he brought the food home the bags were packed tight and mixed fruits/veggies and packaged items all together. The bananas and green peppers were mushed all over everything else. It was a disgusting mess, and all the bananas were wasted and one of the green peppers. It felt kind of like, "here, take the crap that we give you..." like a nasty attitude. I almost cried, because I dont WANT to ask for help, but I have to right now!

Awesome people working their butts off trying to create a better world for the population that our government is trying to squeeze out of existence. Seriously, the work they do here is amazing and Im so grateful for their efforts. If you need help, go here. If you dont need help, please volunteer or donate a few bucks to keep them in operation.
