April 2-5, 2015 was my 2nd visit at this hotel. My first visit was horrible, but I decided to give them a 2nd chance because my organization booked with them again against everyones wishes. The 1st time, toilet didnt flus, heat didnt work, tub was stopped up, safe didnt work. 2nd visit - 1st they made us pay a deposit for booking the rooms prior to our arrival. I had requested a refrigerator & microwave, which I was told 3 months in advance I would hopefully have, and when I signed-in the front desk told me they were both in my room. The fridge was there, but there wasnt a microwave. I was told they are given out on a 1st-come-1st serve basis. I arrived 2 hours before check-in to make sure I got it. Then 2 1/2 hours later a friend checked in & she had called on her way to the hotel to request a microwave, and when she arrived she had it. Note - she called 2 hours after I arrived. Two days later a lady complained about not having a fridge & micro, and she was given both. I asked how they disseminated the items, the front desk said 1st come-1st serve. Normally, when the rooms are cleaned, if you take towels, you leave towels. I had to call & ask for them. I requested 2 replacement irons because mine kept shutting off. The 3rd one didnt work, I finally gave up and just used the persons iron in the room next to me. The people down the hall had bed bugs in their room, and so did a lady I was speaking to in the breakfast line. We had a dinner on Saturday night, the wait staff for our table was so rude to us, we all felt very uncomfortable. I asked about the movie stations on the tv,the front desk told me they didnt have any. Later I found out they had HBO.(Maybe he didnt understand my question.) My safe never did work. My refrigerator was on when I got there, I assumed it was set to the correct temp; it froze everything I had in there. The maintenance guy came to adjust it, took all of my items out of the fridge, and set them on the floor. To summarize, no I will never return to this hotel, & I will not recommend it to anyone whom I like. I must say Indian Lakes, if you didnt want us there, why didnt you just say so in the first place. You didnt have to take our money, and completely treat us like sub-standard human beings during our stay.

The rooms were clean, the beds are pretty comfy and the view no matter what room you get is great! The atrium is really pretty and provides a great place to hang out with family. Some of the other areas of the hotel...not so much. I stayed this weekend and was pretty disappointed. To start, the same garbage bags outside the garbage can that was by the ice machine Friday, were still there Sunday. Gross...you couldnt help but trip over peoples takeout garbage when trying to get some ice, not to mention the smell was gross. We went down to the pool to relax and that was a huge mistake. Upon walking into the pool we were greeted with almost every single chair being covered by used, soaking wet towels. Not only were the towels on the chairs, they were on the ground sopping wet by the hot tub. Once we found a chair that didnt have a wet towel on it, we were able to enjoy the pool...not. About 8 kids came in with someone that appeared to maybe be 18 and all havoc broke lose. Within minutes another family with even more kids came in. Dont get me wrong, I love kids however when your trying to relax in the hot tub and you have about 10 kids(all under the age of 16)splashing around in there when there is clearly a sign that says you need to be 16, you cant help but get frustrated. All the other adults in the hot tub appeared to be annoyed and unhappy with the situation as well. I understand that their parents or whoever was down there watching them should have told them to get out of the hot tub, but it didnt happen, so at what point should hotel management step in? And at this point the hot tub capacity was not being followed either which is another problem in itsef. The pool area appears to have no sort of supervision provided by the hotel, no one to enforce the hotels rules and regulations so that guests can enjoy and relax while being here. My family and I have come to Indian Lakes for many years whether it be for a random weekend "staycation" or birthday weekend, but with the lack of cleanliness at the pool and on the room floors, as well as the lack of pool supervision/organization has made us unsure whether or not we will continue to come back to this location.

I disaster of a place. Booked so that my children could swim. Couldnt check into room at desired ("check-in") time, so we played on their miniature golf course, which was in ruins. Finally checked in, but we had to deal with a roll-away, vs the two bed room we booked. However, door was locked from inside and had to wait for security to open door (another 45 minutes). Then waited for housekeeping to bring towels (only 2 in room). Then waited again for housekeeping to return because of a massive amount of hair and dandruff on chair. Finally got down to pool. No towels there, so we had to leave to golf shop to request the replenish the towels. Later on went to dinner in their upper-end restaurant, Shiraz on the Water. Only one waiter with at least 50 people. Not his fault but the service was awful and we spent an hour watching him run around. Then, finally, our food came and, to do ones surprise, my wifes shrimp were uncooked. By this time, as our children already ate, we decided to just get the check and leave. On way back to the room, we stopped off at the arcade. Of course some of the machines were broken and took our money. Back in the room, I went to get ice. Down one hall, to the end... ice machine broken. Down the other end... ice machine broken. Both on the 5th floor. So I took the elevator to the 4th floor. With one of the elevators being broken, that was a nice wait, both down and up. In the morning... ordered room service for breakfast. Showed up without syrup for daughters pancakes; enough silverware, and had dried food on plate and coffee cup. The omelet was cold, cold, cold. To boot, my wife was reviewing the charge, she said, "you have 20% service charge on here" and quickly the lady stated, "yea, we dont get all of that". I asked, "what portion do you get?". She claimed she didnt know ad just repeated "I dont get all of that." really? you dont know? I instructed my wife to leave some extra $, but it was a classless moment. This place COULD have potential but it seems like they are putting the minimal amount of effort into care and service, and maximizing profit at the expense of guests. Surely it wont last - and I will not be back.

I really hate being the type of person that is sending an email of complaints but this day it was probably the worst hotel stay I have ever had and I dont think I have a choice but to say something. I deal with extreme anxiety and this hotel stay threw me into a genuine panic attack because of the uncleanliness of the hotel. I had booked a king room with a view of the golf course and they put us in a queen room with no view. The room was very dirty in that there was dust everywhere and I could see the leaves and mess outside the window. The worst part was there was blood on the pillow cases. That does not bode well for me and my anxiety. I called down to the front desk twice and they never came up with new pillows and new sheets. The bathroom had snot in the sink. I have always trusted Hilton hotels and have stayed in many before but I dont think I will ever stay in one again after this experience. We had planned to stay for two nights but checked out the next morning because it was such a bad experience. The hotel was so disorienting and confusing. There were no signs anywhere and the hallways were small hot and not lit well. I am just so upset by this experience. I had booked this for my husbands birthday and it was all together disappointing to say the least. I cannot believe I spent $100 on this room and couldnt even sleep in the sheets or pillows because of the blood. Overall, such a disappointing experience.
