Stayed overnight for a wedding weekend. Staff was very friendly during check in and was able to get our room early. The rooms are very comfortable as well. However I had a problem with the restaurant.I tried four times to call Brendan the manager and he is never in and never called me back after leaving voicemail and messages with the front desk.. We were informed when we checked in that the Continental breakfast was for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 and opens at 7:00 am.The next day we checked out and waited for the restaurant to open. We were seated and our waitress named Julia came to our table. She asked us if we wanted a menu or the buffet. We said that we were there for the continental breakfast. We asked if we were in the right place. Her whole attitude changed. She turned and pointed to the buffet line and asked what room number was ours. So we got up and went to the buffet where she pointed to. They had the usual continental breakfast stuff, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon. Down at the end of the line they had fruit, bagels and cold cereal. After getting our hot food we sat down, started eating our waitress came back and said the there is a $4.00 upcharge for the hot food and because my kids are older then 12 she charged them $16.50 each. She then told us that the continental breakfast is only from the fruit down. My bill was $44.39 rip off. If Julia would have just took the time to communicated with us and not been so rude we would have only went to the cold side of the buffet. My sister went down later and had a different waitress and was told that the continental breakfast was only from the fruit down. Wish that I would of had someone that know how to communicate with customers. I was in the hotel and restaurant business for over 25 years and I know that people have good and bad days. But there is NO EXCUSE for a manager not to call you back.

Overall my stay here was very pleasant--the bed was amazingly comfortable, as were the pillows, and I loved the french doors in the suite. This hotel has the curved bar in the showers, which are so great for making them seem roomier. The room service was tasty and the pool was nice. We checked in very late and the night auditer was extremely friendly and welcoming. We asked for a corkscrew to be brought up and the woman who brought them also got us wine glasses. There were a few bad experiences, though, one of which is the breakfast. Im aware that full service Marriotts do not offer the free continental breakfast, but when we asked the front desk about breakfast in the morning, they didnt clarify that the lower cost "buffet" option closed an hour earlier. Since we had arrived so late, we didnt get down there until 30 minutes before breakfast closed, and were forced to order from the menu. Additionally, the service felt stiff and uncomfortable, and we were poured two glasses of orange juice without being asked, and charged for them. When we pointed out that we never actually ordered the orange juice the charges were removed. The next morning we had our sign out on our door (were not early morning people, we both work third shift) and at EIGHT in the morning housekeeping called our room to ask if wed like service now or later. I work in a hotel, I cant imagine calling someone with a do not disturb on their door that early. I dont know if that was a fluke or just policy at this hotel, but if I ever stayed again, I would definitely put in a request to not be woken up so early.

Much lower standard from a full service Marriot Property. As a Platinum member, Ive never been nickel and dimed like I was here. I stay at full service Marriotts throughout the country. It seemed like this property had management that would do anything to make money. 1. No heat when it was 20 degrees out. Room wouldnt get warmer than 65 degrees, no attempt to fix and other guest had the same comment. Very weird. 2. No breakfast comp for Platinum members. Instead they offered me juice and coffee with an ability to upgrade to a full breakfast for $4. $4, really? 3. No coffee in room or lobby. $3 for crap coffee from bar. At 6:45, they wouldnt let my wife and I have a cup of coffeee that we could have at 7:00 for free with breakfast Buffett. Instead they tried to charge us $3 each. We said no thanks. I have never left a negative review on a Marriot property until this one. Update. The above was before breakfast. We upgraded to the full breakfast, started eating. Food was great. Everything was included, except PANCAKES. Another upcharge. You got to be kidding me!

Overall, its a lovely hotel. I adore our king suite and the French doors separating the bedroom from the living area. Its well-decorated and clean. Love having a TV in each room. Its also quiet and comfortable. Good nights sleep! Staff have all been professional and friendly. Parking is plentiful even with a large wedding here. Im not crazy about the suites bathroom. The toilet seems like an afterthought, squeezed between the wall and shower. If you are at all big (and I am), its not a great space. Also, to me, rain shower heads are meant to face down. The thing sprays everywhere. Lastly, the restaurant breakfast buffet is severely overpriced for what they offer and the quality. I was a little stunned to watch the cook grab a freshly made wake with his bare hand. I ranked this as a four after because the room is outstanding besides the bath and restaurant complaints.

My experience here was absolutely the BEST experience ever!!! No exaggeration...every representative that I spoke with was absolutely wonderful. The customer service was impeccable. My husband and I were visiting here from New York and we arrived in Chicago around 4:30/5 am. The hotel that we originally booked was full by the time we got there and we werent able to check into your room until 3 pm that afternoon. We proceeded to call all the other hotels in the area and once again check in was 3pm. We then called the Marriott and they had rooms available for us that same day and we were able to check in immediately after placing our reservation. They even went to the extend of lowering the price of our room. Once again impeccable customer service, the next time we come to Chicago it will be right here!!! Trust me you will not be disappointed.

This is a very nice hotel. They do not charge for parking which is very rare in this area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room is outstanding and up to date with its decor. The room was nice and quiet from its surroundings. The bed was very comfortable with good quality pillows and nice linen. The two room layout was very relaxing and a nice touch. I really enjoyed the workout facilities with separate rooms for weights and treadmills. They had cold towels which was nice and refreshing. They offer a meal replacement shake with protein which was refreshing at a hard work out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone you will not be disappointed.
