I am not a person to speak negativiely about anyone/any business. That being said, this business and owner deserve only that. We drove 3hrs to enjoy what we thought was unlimited water park and tubing priveledges. What we truly purchased $70 later was 6hrs of unlimited standing in line and not once did we tube nor were we able to do anything in the water park. All the tubes for the lazy river and slides were taken and you were unable to take part in either without tubes. We waiting for 1.5hrs just to purchase tickets. We then decided since it was now past lunchtime wed get lunch at their snack shack-where we waited yet again for another 1.5hrs. After eating we ran to the restroom where we experienced completely disgusting bathroom facilities. There was a horrible smell of urine, overflowing trashcans, all three papertowel dispensers were empty, stall doors that do not latch properly, etc. According to my husband and son, the mens restroom was found in the same condition. We then went to the bus stop that was to take us to the tubing facility. We were told the buses ran every 15 minutes. After waiting another 1.5hrs we got on a bus that took us to the tubing facility. Upon arrival, we see a line at least 100yds deep. We decided to return to the main facility instead of waiting again in the blazing sun and heat of July. Several other customers stayed on the bus as well. Before leaving the tubing station, others returned to the bus stating the wait time was 2+ hours to get a tube and that they had also run out of tubes. While returning back to the main facility, I noticed every bus we passed (from the competitor tubing company down the road from this one) had a full bus of passengers with a trailer full of tubes for said passengers. When we arrived to the main facility, we went in to speak with someone regarding a refund since we not once were able to participate in anything we paid because they were so crowded and continued to sell tickets/passes anyway. There were several others in line to speak with someone regarding the same issues we had. The owner stated anyone with a wristband would not get refunds but those without would get refunds. I asked why wristanded customers wouldnt be refunded and her response was because tubing was free with the waterpark unlimited pass. Mind you, we paid $70 and were not able to do any activities on the premises because of their overselling of tickets/passes. Several others spoke their piece about how they deserved a refund because all they were able to do was wait several hours in line before the tubing was shut down for the day. The owners exact response was "Youre not getting a refund. Its not my problem.". I am not sure what owner would ever respond to a paying customer that way, but never again will my family waste $100 of our hard earned money in this womans facility. It is clear by how unorganized, unsanitary, and the quality of the employees and owner, that the lust of the almighty dollar and not the satisfaction of the business customers is what the drive of the company is. Ethically, I have no idea how this woman, the owner, can sleep at night.
My son always likes to water slide. So I often keep visiting many slide facilities all over the places. This time, I thought of visiting Helen. Me & my family visited "Helen Water Park & tubing" recently. My son was very much excited to play water slide there, after watching videos on their website. He played once, but he started complaining that he cannot lift tube all the way up through stairs & needs help to carry. Because he had pain in his hands, after he fell in play area just 2 days ago. The starting slide point is almost 3 floors high. So, I requested staff that I will help my son by carrying tube. But I was denied. My son could not enjoy his slide due to pain of carrying tube. So, he was not at all enthusiastic there to play. I again thought of requesting staff, to allow me. Despite of my repeated requests, I was denied. I felt helpless. After some time, my son came down and said, let’s go home. I asked him, why he does not want to slide. He replied that, a staff shouted at him to go out. I was horrified listening to this, and asked him, "What happened?” My son replied that although he was walking, staff shouted at him, saying you are running on the floor. I inquired my son & confirmed that he did not run. Also, my family had kept an eye on him entire time, but we did not see him running any time. I realized, it was that staff persons gimmick. I told my kid let us go & check with staff person why he did so. But my son was so scared to even go to him & explain what happened. What an inhumane he is to scare a child like this!!! Finally after several attempts, my son came with me to meet this staff person, and I inquired him why he behaved in such a manner with a kid. He told, he was running around. My child said, no he wasnt. Staff said, he has camera. I said, Ok, show me video. But staff said it is not working now. I felt this guy is lying. So, I went and complained to floor manager, but even that person is also behaved the same way. Not even sympathized for what happened. I have never seen such an inhumane & insensitive staff towards children, in any facilities I visited in my last 15 years. My 7 years old child, told me that he will never like to visit this water park. And me too. PS: Visit at your own risk of your child getting abused.
I planned a trip to the water park 05/29/16. I called the two numbers given on the website for questions. On good time it states they would be closed on Sunday. I opened up the website and it says open Sunday now open 7 days good thing I opened the website. I then called 2 number provided no answer... called the first manger number on website no answer called the last number on the website listed as manger also a older man answers the phone and states they are open on Sunday now open 7 days and it is only 5$ for memorial day weekend .. he repeats him self about 4 times I thank him and hang up the call. Today at the water park I get here and Im told there is no more tubing it is 2pm which is fine . I take my daughter to the water park and Im told its 20$ per person I let the women at the register know that I spoke with a owner who told me it was 5 bucks she says thats only for tubing ... thats fine I also tell her he didnt specify the older man who answered stated it was 5 and repeated him self many times. The dark haired women then tells me the owners are getting a divorce and the husband was probably being spiteful. And she doesnt know how he would have that phone number. My thing is I work at a physicians office if my patient are quoted a price over the phone for lets say a physical of course if they can prove who they spoke with and someone is in error im.going to fix it and give them what they were told or at least an apology for incorrect information. I let the women know this is a business . If the owners want to continue to make money and have happy customers they shouldnt bring their personal lives into their business and number two why is their employee telling me the owners personal business that they are getting a divorce he is being spiteful I dont care about any of that really Im here with my family and just upset at the different prices I was told and how unprofessional this women was being with me.I will not be back The bathrooms are disgusting... toilets clogged to the top with feces and toilet paper past the toilet sear .puddles of urine on the floors this is also not acceptable... poor customer service ... customer service is what makes a business ... they have lost a great customer.
