This is hands down the best Homebrew store in Atlanta (and its not a bottle shop with homebrew supplies in the back corner!) Gerald, the owner, learned my name and my wifes name by our fourth batch of beer. Last time we talked about all grain equipment for almost an hour. This is not the type of place that kicks people out when its time to close. You can tell that they really love homebrewing and winemaking. Right when you walk in the first thing you see is a whole room full of carboys bubbling away! Regarding the selection, I pull recipes from all over the web, and I have only had to make one substitute over 5-6 batches of beer purchased here. It was a yeast substitution, but they still have a good variety of both Wyeast and White Labs. Great selection of Grain, adjuncts, and hops. Right now they only stock pellet hops, would be nice to see some whole leaf hops for late additions and dry hopping. They also have a great deal of equipment, from fermentation buckets and hydrometers to stainless steel kettles and kegging supplies. I would say that their prices are pretty competitive.

Its always a very positive experience when I go to the Wine Workshop. They are extremely knowledgeable about wine making, and they are eager to help in any way. One particular thing I appreciate is that they do not try to sell me the more expensive option...for example, Marsha will say that I need a particular tool for making wine, but they offer two brands of that particular tool. She says they both work and would actually recommend that I not spend too much money and go with the less expensive one. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. Additionally, the quality of their items and their wine has been fantastic. I have also always been satisfied with the wide selection of wines. And, if they do not carry something in particular, they offer to order it for you. I would highly recommend the Wine Workshop and supporting this great local business!

I have nothing but praise for the Wine Workshop & Brew Center. As a home-brewing hobbyist, I was delighted when they opened their shop in Decatur. It has been great having such a great home-brew shop right down the road. Not only are they close, but this is the best home-brew shop in the Atlanta metro area... and probably beyond. They have a very good selection of grains clearly marked in clear containers and a great selection of yeast and hops kept in a large glass-door refrigerator. They also have pretty much all cleaning products, containers, adjuncts and more pretty much everything you need for all-grain or extract brewing. Finally Marcia and Gerald (the owners) are super-nice and very personable. It is a pleasure to do business with them.

If you have not been to the Wine Workshop & BREW Center (Im mostly a Brewer myself), get your butt over, down or up here right away. They have top notch Equipment and Supplies and fresh grains and refrigerated WYeast of all denominations to get your Grain or Extract brews going in Style!!! (& Wine making too.) Ive been shopping here since they opened and can say these are some of the friendliest, knowledgeable people in the area and it is awesome having a place to get all of my brewing needs with out going to "Gods Country" O.T.P. if ya know what I mean! :-D Keep up the great service!!! We have found Marcia and Gerald and the Wine Workshop & Brew Center to be a great source of not only a large selection of supplies and kits for both wine and home brewing, but a solid source of helpful information about the two areas. I have purchased a number of home brew supplies and we have also made 2 batches of premium wine. Marcia was particularly helpful in the wine making kit selection.....and are looking forward to enjoying the vintages this winter..... If you have not, try their classes, they are very reasonable in cost and with the in store credit you are eligible to receive, you cant miss!!! Schedule your home brew or wine making class today !!!

Excellent brew shop, very well stocked with most everything needed to brew beer and wine, from kits to non-experienced brewers, to all of the provisions needed for seasoned ones. Their prices are always competitive. The ingredients are fresh and well taken care of. Marsha, Gerald and sons are always helpful, and have become friends over simply being anonymous store owners. If there is every anything needed that they do not have they will help one find it and are always looking for recommendations to help their stock grow.

I have been coming here for over a year now and really enjoy this place. The owners are always friendly and are willing to help out as much as they can. I go particularly for beer supplies and they normally have 20+ types of grain which is enough to make just about any beer and having a grain mill in the back saves a ton of time/effort. Prices are reasonable and they offer tastings of wine and wine-making classes on premises. I will continue visiting as they have one of the best selections in town.

Discovered this shop on a whim - - remember seeing the signage go up and walking into the store to check it out. Marsha, Gerald, Steven and Grant were all fantastic in terms of explaining the winemaking process, and very helpful in terms of going over all the steps along the way. Now on my 3rd batch of wine, Im pleased with the results and plan on continuing this newfound hobby. Kudos to the Perez family for a wonderful, local Decatur business!

Wine Workshop and Brew Center has become my go-to place for buying homebrew supplies. The family support and service is superb, and the prices are very good, especially for whole bags of grain. Get in on the regular direct yeast purchases for the freshest Wyeast at very good prices. If youre thinking about getting into brewing or winemaking, try the classes, buy a beginner kit, and know you have the support to get into a great new hobby.
