(Weekend visitors from Central Florida checking in) You can’t taste Old 4th’s products without signing up for the tour ($5) but there was a package deal… $20 FOR A TOUR AND A BOTTLE. Our tour pretty much began as we waited in the DARK-WOODED, VINTAGE LOBBY where every section has historic connections to the community. (Check out the ‘secret’ of the bookcase) The tour itself was straight-forward. Our TOUR LADY WAS INFORMATIVE and guided us in what to expect during the tasting. My only gripe was a male staffer was checking his phone while blatantly leaning against a vat next to the guide as she spoke. At the TASTING AFTERWARDS, my more alcohol-knowledged friends decided the VODKA WAS JUST ‘OKAY’—tasted very ‘soft’ and ‘new.’ We also tried gin and a gin cocktail.

Never been to the distillery, but as a vodka snob, I give this vodka 5 stars for taste. Im a Titos guy and this vodka comes in as a very close second, if not tied with my favorite beverage.. For the record, I drink my vodka over ice without anything else in it, no olives or fruit. The taste is clean, crisp, and light. There is absolutely zero aftertaste aside from a slight hint of sweetness. That is the only reason I would rate it next to or slightly, ever so slightly below Titos. In fact, next time I decide to have vodka, I will be torn between these two choices. I think that in and of itself is quite an endorsement.

Thanks to tour guide, Hannah, I am already thinking about who I can invite to join me on the next tour! Eight of us were joined by four others and we had a fab and informative time. You have a knowledgeable and enthusiast gem in Hannah -- we are fans of her and of Old Fourth Distillery. i also bought a copper mug for my son when he returns from Nicaragua in the Peace Corps. I love the etching on the side of the mug that will remind him of OFW. We expect many happy returns!

Great tour of a distillery in the heart of Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta. The team is very knowledgeable. They are passionate about the spirits they are producing and it shows. They are producing a nice set of spirits here. Glad to have them intown.

I love this place. Not a very well known spot but the guys who run this place are awesome. I am not a gin fan but they make the best gin I have ever tried. I drank that stuff straight.
