This dinner was a huge disappointment on so many levels. We had been looking forward to fine cuisine in a beautiful winery in the N. Georgia mountains. What we got instead was an experience where we were treated with such disrespect that my daughter a week later is still talking about it. The vineyard had a wedding booked in its main room which is fine and understandable at this time of year however diners should be informed that they are going to be relegated to a small dining room upstairs. That would have been fine if we could have still enjoyed the view that we purposely came for. However their drapery system was such that sun glare could only be dealt with by closing the curtains. So when the table next to us asked for that they were promptly shut, using chairs from our table to hold them, without any courtesy show towards us, asking if it was ok or if we would want to move tables or perhaps if those complaining would like to move. So there went the view. Now onto dinner. My daughter wanted the charcuterie and cheese plate as her main course. We repeatedly consulted with the waiter to confirm that there could be a plate made that was mild cheese wise and not spicy meat wise. We were assured that it was no problem at all. (Had it been we would have happily ordered off the Childrens menu. ....I certainly did not need or want to be paying $24 for an appetizer platter unnecessarily) Long story short. The most spicy inappropriate platter was delivered to our table. I was shocked and sent it back. When the waiter returned again he literally slammed it on the table and left. Didnt even explain what was on it. It was mildly better but not at all What was originally discussed and requested. He returned only one other time. I asked for additional olives and never got them. Additional needs of silverware and check were met by other staff I had to flag down. We left throughly appalled after paying NYC prices (which as a former New Yorker I have no problem doing for top quality and service ) but this was not the case. I left shaking my head in disbelief at the disrespect and poor service we were shown (was it because I was a single Woman with my daughter I wonder? ) What made it even worse was the manager saw my face and caught up with us in the parking lot. Upon relating the story of evening to him he merely said sorry , gave me his card and offered to try and find some ice cream for my daughter (who definitely didnt need dessert after barely having a meal). I was truly shocked by his feeble attempts to ameliorate the situation. No refund on the meal, gift card to return, a bottle of wine.... nothing. I was very disappointed by this entire experience and thought it shameful for a restaurant that perceives it self to be of such a high caliber. They have a lot to learn about respect and customer service. On a happy note brunch at Wolf Mountain Vineyards the next day was fantastic! Highly recommend going there!

This winery is gorgeous!!! Unfortunately, it is lacking in the taste and service department. I am pretty easy to please and Im not writing this review to complain. I just feel like some reviews are probably written by the Owners of the establishments, so Id like to offer an opinion from a real point of view. I could tell from the reviews that this vineyard probably did not have the best tasting wine, but the restaurant seemed to have some outstanding reviews on Urban Spoon, so we decided to give it a try. This was our first stop on our tour, so we ate lunch at their restaurant named Le Vigne (look it up if you have time). It was still early in the day on a Saturday, so the winery was not too packed yet. We started with our tasting, but were slightly rushed through the tasting. No big deal really, though. We actually liked one of the wines enough to buy a bottle, but realized later we were really just picking the best from the bunch of not that great wines. We made reservations in the restaurant, so we were seated quickly after our tasting. They sat us right by the large windows overlooking the vineyards and the view was absolutely stunning. Although, after we sat down the valet guys started parking cars in front of the vineyard, which distracted from the view. Again, not that big of a deal, but if I were the Owner, I would change that. On to the food, our servers were nice, but the food took an extremely long time to make. When it finally arrived, one of our dishes (the octopus) smelled rancid. We informed the waiter, he took the plate back to the kitchen, then returned it stating the chef said that was normal. This was by far the biggest complaint we had. If a customer says something smells rancid, you dont return the plate to the table, you offer something else. It wasnt until later in our meal that the chef came to check on us and offer another dish. The other food was fine and some actually pretty tasty, but we ordered the small plates (to save money) and the portion sizes were not enough to get us through a day of wine tastings. The large plates seemed too pricy for what they were offering. One other thing that bothered us, the windows looking out over the vineyard were covered with flies. The management should do something to fix this issue. Having said all that if you have never visited this vineyard, you should. It is worth seeing. They spared no expense when they built this place, even the restrooms are luxurious. The grounds are amazing and the nicest part about the tasting is that they give you a separate glass for each wine. I would recommend sharing the tasting with your partner though since the wine isnt that great. It was a nice experience and the staff was very pleasant. I would definitely go back and have a glass next time Im up there.

We visited this winery on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was difficult to find, but when we finally found it it was beautiful. We were not greeted by anyone when we entered, or when we approached the bar. It was as though we were invisible. When we finally were able to get someones attention, she informed us that there was no seating in the restaurant, the kitchen was closed, and there were no appetizers available. She left and we had to wait on another person to take our order. This took approximately half an hour. We were told where to sit and where we couldnt sit. We were warned multiple times, not to sit on the cushioned chairs on the patio. We ordered a flight of red wine, found a place to sit, and then found they hadnt placed our order, so we had to order our flight again, which took another 15 minutes at least. When they delivered our wine he told us that since we didnt make reservations we couldnt order cheese and crackers to go with our wine, even though other people sitting next to us were getting food. This waiter had a, "No soup for you" attitude and was noticed by another couple sitting next to us. As they left, they came over and commented about how bad the service was for them and thought it was a beautiful place, but too snooty. They told us about some other wineries in the area and how warm and wonderful the people were. We enjoyed the wines we tasted, but didnt feel there was enough difference between them to make the flight interesting to taste. We tried to order another glass of wine of our pick from the flight and were told that we couldnt order any. Short review: Enjoy the drive, go into the facility and walk around, make sure and use the restrooms (worth seeing), and go visit the other wineries in the area.
