I wish I could give them a 0...this golf course is probably the most overpriced in south Florida. They were just put under new management and I thought this would improve the course and staff a little, but it did not. First of all the website that they have up was updated not even a month ago probably and my friends and I saw that there was a junior rate for 13-19 year olds that said "after 12 pm $15 walking/$20 riding. We thought this was a great deal so I made a tee time. While making the tee time I specifically asked the woman that was at the pro shop on the phone with me if that rate actually applied. She looked at the website and said that it does because the website was updated to current times. I made the tee time thinking we were going to pay 20 dollars. When we came to the course a few days later for our tee time, we went to pay and were told that it was 40 per person. My friends and I were surprised and decided to show the man at the pro shop the website. When we did this he looked and said "that cant be right." As he did this the new owner of the course came up from behind and wanted to see what the problem was. I showed him my phone that specifically stated 20 dollars for riding as a junior rate after noon. He just looked at it and said "that cant be right. Its wrong, Ill have to change it." We tried to tell him that its unfair for us to pay the 40 dollars because we were misinformed. He just began to walk out back to his office and while walking away waved us off telling the pro shop employee to "give them a bucket of balls or something." We continued to try and change the rate to 20 because it was unfair and then the pro shop employee says "you see that means 15 dollars walking and the slash means 15 plus 20 more for the cart." We couldnt argue with his ignorance anymore so we just decided to pay and play. Since we paid $20 more than we expected we were at least hoping the course would be in good shape. I guess after the staff and even the manager giving us such a terrible experience we shouldve known better. EVERY SINGLE GREEN WAS SANDY. They had not been airrated recently either so this was strange. There was a couple of holes where there were shovels and huge holes in front of the green where they were working on drainage systems. This wasnt surprising though because even though it had rained about a week ago, the course was still muddy in areas and my ball stuck into the green on more than 4 different holes. This was probably the worst experience Ive ever had at a golf course. Salty staff and sandy greens....

I planned my Engagement Party there recently and I do have to say it had to be the WORST experience of my life, I was assisted by Desiree & Patty was MIA entire time. She didnt know anything beside running everything through her mom Patty. They raised my prices from my previous contract and didnt let me know until i noticed it later that evening and didnt bother to email me after 7 emails I sent and didnt get a response till the day before my party, like i had nothing better to do then to deal w/ their non-sense . I even dropped off my table decorations like i was told in the morning at 10am and Desiree was OBLVIOUS till 45 mins until guests (party scheduled at 8pm) arrived and came to ask me what to do w/ them then actually HELPING ME set up my room. Steak dishes was disguisting and you will NEVER see me step foot in there ever again. I usually like to do my events at the JAcaranda country club in plantation theyre extremely understanding and professional and I like to keep it that way.

Bonaventure Comedy Club is more like it, this place is a joke! -You can hear gunshots from the firing range across the highway -half the fairways were covered in knee-high weeds, I had to pull 3 weeds for one shot just so I had a clear swing -the tee boxes arent flat, some had long grass -greens had clover patches, hard brown dirt, sand, and bumps where the previous holes were dug -Bunkers are hard as clay, I putted out of every one -one bunker had more water and bird crap in it than sand -golf cart had no brakes, and they make you drive across the road multiple times -they let anyone on here, I saw multiple golfers hitting 30 yard shots, repeatedly Only redeeming feature was the restaurant, skip the course and grab a burger.

Oh the bufoonery that took place at this sandy dump, these mooks charged us double the price from when we originally made the tee time saying that they changed their prices after we made the tee time and before we got there... OH REALLY, we called and confirmed with the pro shop that the price was indeed $20 for 19 year olds, and we in fact got ourselves finessed. We showed immense evidence of the price being $20 on the courses own WEBSITE and what did they do? THEY CHANGE THEIR WEBSITE IN FRONT OF US WHILE WE POINTED IT OUT TO THEM. No accountability for their poor grammatical errors and atrocious customer service.

See, in life, sometimes people try to weasel their way out of things, try to be slick to avoid blame or responsibility. This, my friends, is called finesse, and BOY was I FINESSED yesterday afternoon. When I see a price listed on a website, that HAS TO BE HONORED. They did not do that. Zero accountability. The dude at the front desk kept laughing at me, NO ONE LAUGHS AT ME. What season is it right now? Is it the last day of fall? Is it already winter? At Bonaventure Country Club, it is FINESSE season. The owners are finessers, the cashiers are finessers, even the greens are finessers. Sandyyyyyyy. That is all.

The web page needs to be revised, the course is not in the shape as they profess. the fairways were mowed but not taken care of, lots of bare spots and weeds. Most of the greens had dead spots and some with bare spots. I was expecting to see a waterfall as shown in the picture but guess what it wasnt working. I have found public, city owned, courses in better shape than this one. The staff were friendly and accommodating and worked with getting me on the course without a tee time. Im sure this course could be top notch again if a little time and money were invested in making it so.

They left a note in the cart saying they had just renovated the east course and were closing down 9 holes on the west course. They should close this place altogether. The course was in terrible condition and for the money they charge it should be a lot better. The bathroom in the clubhouse is like a bus terminal bathroom. The restaurant wasnt any better. They didnt have enough staff to cover the amount of people in the restaurant and it wasnt even full. This was on a Saturday afternoon. I will never play here again.
