Granada Golf Course is the perfect little neighborhood 9-hole course. Its been recently renovated and improved by the City of Coral Gables. Ive only played this course since the renovation, so I cant make any comparisons to its previous state. The course runs along both N and S Greenway Drive and straddles both sides of Granada Blvd in the Gables. There always seems to be enough parking for the size of the course. This is a perfect course to get in some practice. Its not a stuffy course by any means. And if youre a magnet for water like I tend to be, youll be glad to hear there is zero water. The greens are decently fast on a dry afternoon. And some of the fairways are fairly wide for those players who cant seem to hit a straight drive. Its not expensive at all and isnt very extravagant. They will book your tee times in advance only for the morning hours. Anyone who wants to play after 12pm will enjoy first come first served tee times. I usually get there after 3pm to avoid the midday baking sun and to avoid too many people playing in front or behind me. Theres a small putting green, though, no driving range. The pro shop isnt very large and doesnt have much in the way of merchandise either. There is, however, an on-site restaurant, Burger Bobs. All in all, this is a great place to practice your game and not spend too much. Its also a perfect place to bring youngsters to get them started.

This course is beautiful and has wide fairways which, for beginners is great. For the price this place really cant be beat. The only reason I cant give it five stars is because the starter on Sundays has a knack for ruining the start of your game. For example, on our last visit we had a tee time for four people and although our fourth was teeing off on the actual tee time he comes over screaming for us to hurry up. When confronted he says he shouldnt be taken personally because hes trying to squeeze others in. No one should get pressured to hurry their game for the sake of others who didnt bother to set up a tee time. This creates animosity and anxiety on an occasion that is meant to be pleasurable. This has happened on three occasions now and being disrespected has no place at a place of business.

What a disorganized mess. We called for a tee time, and received 10:00. When we got there it was first come, first serve with no starter, and a line of about 16 people. Decided to wait it out and practice putting a bit. People said we needed to do foursomes because of the crowd. When we got up to tee off at 10:30, the twosome we were paired with lit stogees so we left. Used to be a fun place to play. First tee looked pretty beat up.

Got there at 4:20, big line and didnt get to the front of line until 4:31. I was told that they stopped renting golf carts after 4:30. Then he told me he was going to pull the carts of the foursome who was waiting at the tee box. I video him as he went outside but he didnt anything. This foursome was there before me. This is awful customer service. Unfortunately, this is typical with these volunteer golf workers.

One of my favorite places to go jogging or walking,there are multiple places to stop by on the walk to pick up and early morning coffee at Liberty Cafe or stop for breakfast lunch or dinner at Burger Bobs, and even better when u get tired and sweaty on jogs you can stop by the water coolers that are readilly available for golfers or runners

Grew up on this golf course and probably one of the most precious/nostalgic places! Sometimes me and my friends get some acoustic guitars and jam some Grateful Dead or some other classic rock stuff like the band or Dylan. I run here every morning.

For $15 as a Gables resident it is a solid deal. The course wasnt in as good of shape as it should be for prime season, but to be able to play 9 holes I under 2 hours in the middle of the city is worth overlooking some imperfections.

If you want to play on Sunday mornings, make sure you start on time they dont like people to be late and taking too much time. The old guy on Sunday mornings is a cool guy but be careful with his time.

Perfect course for the beginner or casual golfer. Basic amenities, but at $17 to walk 9 holes who can complain. Theres no water but beware those banyan trees are ball magnets!
