This was hands down the best venue I have ever been to for rowing. This is a world class race course for a reason. The row up to the stakeboats was on a 1500m practice course. The stakeboats and race course are on the other side of a land bridge that the chase car drives on. The course itself is a 10 lane 2k, but I believe it could be increased to 12 lanes, as there was space for a return lane that was unused. The actual return lane is a canal that runs around the island to get back to the docks. The conditions during my row were incredible. The course was built to reduce wake. Racing was delayed for a few hours for a thunderstorm, but about 10 minutes after the thunderstorm, the course was glass. Overall, I loved this place. If I were ever given the chance to come back, I would take it. I would definitely recommend this place to any rower, as it is truly amazing.

The entrance off Honore is closed for construction vehicles only (GPS coordinates 27.35921,-82.459651). Instead you must enter off North Cattleman Rd (near 27.37577,-82.449834). Took us a good 20 minutes to drive all the way around once we noticed the closure. The facilities are still under construction, but you can already enjoy the park. Use caution parking in non-paved areas as you can get stuck. Nik Wallenda is currently practicing for his tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon here. You can see him until 6/19/13 for free and get his autograph. Just visit his website for details.

Very beautiful rowing venue. Unfortunately for us it was extremely windy the day we were there but as far as venues for rowing, it was fantastic. Only suggestion I would have is that they need to get with a bicycle store and offer bikes for rent during events. The sides of the course have pavement the length of the coarse. I would have rented a bike in a heartbeat to get to follow my daughters boat. Maybe someday.

It was a beautiful Florida day today. We hadnt been to the park yet so decided today was the day. Very pretty. We were walking, there were lots of walkers, people on bikes, roller-blades, scooters (both powered and powered by the human). Dogs that were very happy being walked. Not crowded at all, just enough people to make it interesting.

Parking is sometimes chaotic but once you get to the park, its a lot of fun. I never have trouble finding a spot to view the boat races. Bathrooms are clean and easy to find, scores are posted at various locations and quickly. The park is also a nice place to walk or run around in a semi-serene setting despite its proximity to the interstate.

Nice new playground but NO SHADE they really should have put a shade canopy of some sort for the kids to play under. I mean sure the trees will be the shade but not until another 20 years... Still a nice place to take a walk, bike ride, or run... In you like that sort of thing that is. Id like to come watch a crew event some day!

Beautiful lake for taxes, and great facilities, including a shiny new tower, but the fields used for event parking are basically mud pits- not fun to slog through! Relatively few mosquitos, though, and fireworks were great. Parking is cheap, but it took 45 minutes to get out after event.

The best rowing venues Ive been on. Gorgeous race course, very easy to navigate (except for a tight starting area, but its bearable) leads to an overall pleasant experience. It does get very hot and can get muddy so just keep in mind that you need to pack for the weather.

Awesome place with Rowing facilities. Walking and Bicycling path... Have been there every year since 4 years ago. A lot of development around the park, with restaurants, hotels and a huge mall... The world Rowing championship will be held on September 2017 at this park.

Beautiful park. Has trails all around it. You can drive all the way around it or park near the county building for the playground or a bench in the center. However, most of the park is in the sun. This includes the playground. All of the parking is in the sun.

A beautiful facility! We attended a rowing competition some time ago and enjoyed it very much!! We would like to be able to attend and enjoy upcoming events but unfortunately we are unable to find any information about future schedules!!

Looking like a great venue for the world rowing championships. The area has a great jogging/walking trail along the waterway. There is also a small park for the kids to enjoy. I myself plan to tackle the great trail in the near future.

Great place to exercise, with walking and running trails. Very serene and peaceful as well. The childrens playground is fun and well designed. It even has solar powered USB chargers for parents to use. Lots of upcoming events.

Home of the World Championships of Rowing! Great bird watching and one lap around the paved park sidewalk is a 5k. Love coming here to run. Be warned, theres no shade so bring a hat if youre planning on being here for a while.

Great place to just breath! Very Serene, good fishing, and lots of good people that hang out there. So if you want to be alone its perfect, if you want to talk to people its also perfect. Lots of great rowing events as well

I visit this park often, and it is my favorite place to go when Im feeling lonely and want a picnic. I sit out on the grass and watch the animals play in the water, as families go by on their roller skates and skateboards.

I attended a rowing competition here in February. It is very nicely set up for rowing. With a great spectator area and very orderly boat management and officiating. This is probably one of the best rowing venues around.

Needed a oil change and tire rotation and 29 point and they wanted to charge me!! I called the dealership I got the pickup from which was Gettel Chevrolet and they were awesome got everything done and no charge.

Clean park, no wood chips which is great o hate those, has swings, play ground, other cool toys, what I found very nice is a phone charging station bring the USB cord and charge you phone, tablets etc.....

its a nice place to go for a walk or just relax. sculling competition happens several times a year and its interesting to watch but you lose that quiet peacefulness on those days

Crew lovers will appreciate the design of this man made lake designed especially to enjoy Rowing races. Lots of place to park a great family place for all water events.

my son rows here several times a year and always complains that it is not designed well with the wind affecting the last 4 or 5 lanes so competitions not really fair.

Great for walking/running/picnicking! Its equivalent to a to. I take my son to the play area, which is beautiful, new and modern! Its great for toddlers and under.

Online says Oct the park closes at six when there is two different signs says 8 on one and 9 on the other sign. But it is a nice park just needs more bathrooms
