This is a nice place with a mixture of park models and RVs. There is no "junk" here and it is well maintained. The staff is nice to work with. This is a 55+ resort and the quiet atmosphere reflects that. The turn into the resort is pretty standard but as you leave the road you have a rather steep downhill to the office. The exit is, of course, a steep climb. They need to trim back the soft pine trees on the right side of the exit. Our right side mirror had to brush along them while our left wheels avoided a small curb around a dividing island. The turn out of the resort is a challenge because you really cant see traffic from either due to trees and curves. Even in a car alone it is something to be very cautious about. They did mount a mirror on a tree/post across the road that helps you see traffic from the right but isnt any help for traffic from the left. The facilities are very nice and serves the seasonal folks. This place is full of FL people escaping the summer heat. The back in spaces just past the office dont have good satellite view unless you have a portable dish. However, there is a very good selection of cable stations. The larger area of pull through parking appears to have real good view of TV satellites. WIFI is...well at least in that area...inadequate for almost anything. It was really unusable and Verizon signals are not the strongest but adequate for the basics and some You Tube videos. It has good access to the entire surrounding area and we took advantage of that to visit Biltmore Estate about 40 minutes north in Asheville. Plenty of access to shopping and dining within a reasonable distance of the resort. All in all a nice place to stay. I knocked it down a star because of the WIFI and entrance/exit issues. That might be a big picky but worth noting. Certainly I wouldnt say anyone should avoid this resort but just be prepared. If you are a competent driver, it isnt that difficult.

Nice stopover for us and gives us the ability to visit family nearby. The facility and long term residents welcomed our two AKC Labradors and could not have been nicer. We walked the entire facility twice a day for our two day visit with our dogs. They do exclude certain breeds due to their insurance company which is not unusual. We are going back.

Went to stay( were 65 retired) but they wouldnt let us as we have AKC Golden Retrievers with us but when leaving the park we heard several dogs within RV s that were parked. Think we were being discriminated against . Went over to Park Place RV welcomed us and our Goldens
