Awful awful experience for our whole family. When we were getting out to snorkel at the sand bar, the anchor had slipped by the time we were getting off the boat. Nobody had informed us of this at the time. By the time we were getting out it was probably 20 ft deep (the guy helping us get off said 5.5 ft). So we figured we could swim to the sand bar, the current kept pushing us out farther and the water was getting rougher, as NOBODY helped us as we were panicking and struggling to stay above water. The boat swung back around to replace the anchor and nearly hit us. We were stil chanting for help and nobody threw us a life jacket or anything. We climbed back onto the boat once it got close enough and we were so winded and felt so sick we nearly passed out. None of the workers did anything about it after we told them about what happened. Later, once we got to the beach to get shells, they pulled out these really sketchy ladders to get off the boat with. My elderly grandmother of course wanted to get some shells and be on the beach so she got off the boat. NONE of the workers helped her up and down the ladder they were too busy on their phones on the back of the boat. Such an unprepared group of people running this event. I highly recommend finding something better because Im 100% sure there is somewhere.

My family and I looked for a place to snorkle, so we booked the dolphin snorkling cruise. It said it is a 4 hour trip, including 30 minutes each way to island and back. It took 1 hour each way, which left 2 hours instead of 3 hours to explore island. The captin called in the morning to make sure we were still planning on coming, we talked with him as we pulled into marina, and as we were boarding the boat. All 3 times we were NOT told that we would not be able to snorkle because of the murky water due to weather. We were only told this after the hour long ride to island. This is the main reason we were paying good money to go. We made the best of it and explored the island. But I felt like we were trapped into paying for a very expensive boat ride to a beach when there are plenty of free beaches to choose from. Yes we did see dolphins 3 times (for about 1 minute each time) for the total of 2 hours we were on boat. My advise if you are booking this to snorkle is to ask if you can in fact snorkle before departing and paying for an overpriced boat ride. I gave 3 stars all for the island. It has old war ruins, light house, tons and tons of shells, nice beach, and fun to explore.

Very disappointing. My friends and I paid thinking we would be able to actually snorkel, like we have before further down the coast. The boat travels to an island full of broken shells and the captain tells us we can come back in an hour to snorkel but he doesnt recommend it. So we walk around for an hour and then come back to "stay in the shallow end" and not be able to see anything but more broken shells... Not promised to see dolphins, but you might. False advertising. When it was time to pay the captains wanted a tip (tip is optional). We didnt feel it was appropriate to tip with us being so disappointed and having had wasted our money and day of vacation on this. The captain dropped the slit containing our money back in my lap and made a comment about how we had not tipped.... how unprofessional, but not surprising considering the whole setup seemed more like a scam than a tourist attraction.

This was just an expensive boat ride. $175 bucks for my family. Not much dolphin action, but I understand they have no control over that. The shelling was horrible on the island. No variety and tons of small broken ones. What a disappointment! The snorkeling was a joke. There was absolutely nothing to see or shells to collect as advertised. All the patrons on the boat were done snorkeling in two minutes. I would have had a better time snorkeling in my hotel pool. Captain and mate were fine..... perhaps give us a little history of the Island. I went on the ride for two reasons: To find interesting shells and see tropical fish while snorkeling. Both did not happen.

Nothing we thought that it would be. We got to the marina and they told us we were going to a different island due to the weather (which was interesting because it was nice out). We got to the other island and it was deserted, no ruins, and broken shells. The crew was friendly but not at all helpful. We saw 2 dolphins after we were told there was going to be a "dolphin show". Definelty false advertisement. In the advertisement, it had pictures of dolphins that states "true photo!" And then under the picture it states "computer generated dolphins are falsely placed in their photo advertisements". Go somewhere else that will be worth your time and money!!

So awesome! We had no idea what to expect when we signed up (we honestly even thought it was a gimmick for a while). We knew seeing dolphins wasnt a guarantee, but we figured it was worth it for all of the other stuff. The island we went to was beautiful and had a few of the ruins, like they said. It also had a ton of shells, although not huge ones, but we got a ton of good sized whole shells. We had a lot of fun snorkeling too. It wasnt anything extravagant, but good for inexperienced people. I would definitely recommend it, totally worth the price for the time and variety of activities!

If this was $10 per person and called "Boat ride to Egmont Key", Id give it 5 stars. In reality, it isnt what they advertised. We did see some dolphins. The island was interesting and had a good beach, but the only "shelling" we could do was pick up a handful of broken shell fragments. They only gave us half an hour because they had to get to the snorkeling, which was a complete joke. The water was so dirty that even if there was a fish (or even a clump of seaweed or a rock), I couldnt see it. The captains were friendly, but the ride was poorly planned and overpriced.

Called last minute and they were able to fit our fam of 4 on the noon trip. Capitan Randy and his mate were awesome! The boat ride to Egmont Key was enjoyable and they gave us great instructions on how to explore the island. We left to go snorkeling in a different area - thank goodness no sharks! The water was so clear and we saw cool sea life. On the way back they found dolphins not once but twice! Loved watching them play in the wake of the boat. This was well worth every penny! My 13 and 17 year old had a blast! Thanks for an amazing afternoon guys!

Miserable. They took us to a completely different island than advertised. Snorkeling in the Golf is not a thing and they shouldnt be allowed to advertise for it. Aggressive about the tip at the end of the boat ride. Now were dealing with the fact that they charged us twice and refuse to refund us. We tried to call and the main number directs us to someone who sat and yelled over everything I said. Every time I tried to let him know why I was calling he was yelling. Rude and unprofessional. I cant believe theyre still making any sort of revenue.
