I will go ahead and apologize for the length of my review, but I can stay quiet no more.i hate to be the as it seems, ONE person who has never been impressed with this specific chain, however, this location specifically has detoured me away from the company all together. My family and I ( party of 6 people, my husband and I and our four children) have been to the mojos on 40, a total of three times , my kids choice of course (they love the fun atmosphere) Personally, I am in the food service industry so I hate to complain, however my last time was unacceptable. We got there at about 7:30, it wasnt very busy, however we waited for about 5 minutes before we even got a "hello" due to someone picking up a take out order. After that however we were greeted by a pleasant young lady, my husband told her six and away she went to put tables together. After we sat, she turned the red and green sign to red so that a server would know we havent been greeted. We sat there for roughly 15 minutes before I walked up and asked the hostess if we had a server, she looked like a deer caught in the headlights, replied "um yes of course" and then stared shuffling through papers on the stand. I returned to the table and we were greeted a few minutes later. We ordered drinks, hell hound and a strawberry daiquiri, sodas for the kids and my 17 year old asked for a virgin strawberry daiquiri. Strike two for me was when my underage daughter had an alcoholic beverage presented to her, thank goodness i noticed the server wasnt even looking which drink was what so i asked her which one was the virgin, she laughed and replied with "what? what do you mean" I then had to explain that a virgin drink was ordered, she let us keep the extra and got the correct drink. Next, our order was taken, large pork nacho and 3 kids burgers, 3 steak and shrimp fajitas. the nachos were good, as well as the fajitas (we were offered cilantro and guacamole with it but werent told it was 2.00 more but our fault) the kids burgers were hockey pucks, my three year old told me it tasted "like fire" which he was right, it tasted very burned, all three of them. After waiting another few minutes and not seeing the waitress, we stopped someone and asked for new burgers, the server rushed over after and asked what had occurred, we told her and she said it would be fixed, which was fine by us. kids burgers were returned and everything was okay. server checked back, kids needed more drink, no problem. I can see her getting the drinks from my seat, music changes, I see her set the drinks on the wall by the restrooms and start to do the "Apache" dance with other servers, all while my children are thirsty. Once the song was over, I myself asked for another drink to which she replied "yeah, I left the one on the table for you, but if you wanna do another, you can" WHAT??? Im seeing red at this point, so I asked for a manager, took about another 10 minutes for him to come over I didnt want anything free or someone to kiss the ground and apologize, but all i got was "really? thats surprising, she is one of the best" sorry mojos, but if that was your best, I would hate to see the worst! honestly, I have only ever had one good service experience there and unfortunately that server is not there anymore, seems like a loss on mojos part, I feel that a little less of employees wanting to have fun and more guest relation training would go a LONGGGG way. I do not think i will be back, not unless a complete 180 happens, three times is too many.

Absolutely incredible. I was in Ocala with my girlfriend, and was recommended this place by couple locals. We were both starving and looking for a place that had variety and quality. Needless to say, we hit the jackpot! Our server was a guy mid twenties, with a great sense of humour and a radiant personality. I wish I could have him as my server everywhere I go! We started off with an appetizer of fried pickles, and then burgers that were recommended by our awesome server. The meat was high quality and cooked perfectly to temp (if you like rare burgers, DO IT!) It was honestly the best burger Ive had in a while. Their beer selection was vast, and had something for everyone. I ended up having two different types of local craft beer that I dont remember the names of, but they were wonderful. I wish we had Mojos in Jacksonville so I could try more of their menu. This place is a staple in Ocala, and highly recommend anybody in the area to give it a try!

Love the place! Unique. Food was excellent. Service was lacking. 4:00PM, maybe 10% capacity. Started out great. Drink & dinner order was quick. Drink delivery was good. Food delivery was slow. It got worse. After delivery, server checked back twice in 5 minutes then not again. We finished, and waited. We needed the check and take-home boxes. We waited. Barb went out for a smoke. Then to the ladies room when she returned. Still no server. Finally the bill and a request for boxes. We loaded the boxes. The server took care of my chilli & my granddaughters gumbo. When the bag was loaded, the pasta container was put in upside-down so the sauce leaked out through the holes in the top. My chilli never made it to the bag. Next time were in Silver Springs we will give it another try. Disappointed.

i went to this place twice the first time i waited over 30 minutes for a beer they was out of then i told them to bring me a different beer they was out of it to so i ask for a soda instead of going to get it after we sat there for 30 minutes for something to drink the waitress goes over to another table and starts talking to them so we got up and left the second time we had a better waitress she was great but my wife ordered the shrimp and grits the grits was dry and not cooked all the way we ordered a hot dog for my daughter and it was like beef jerky my food was ok but this was no $60.00 meal by any means so from my experiance this place has bad service over priced food i could have went to a steak house and ate a way better meal for the same if not less i wont be going back

Food at Mojos is always great. This was our first time at the 40 location. Loved the layout and atmosphere. That day they were having a cornhole tournament. Service was great. The wifi went down which their payment system relies on I believe. Their register would take our cc due to the wifi being down. Few of the TVs were offline also. Fortunately we had cash on us. It was down for at least 30 min while we were there, with our phone connected. But of course that wasnt their fault. But if relying in wifi is normal for most restaurants, sounds like not the best set up. Or at least have a back up for credit to be used in case. Either way, we loved lunch! And will be heading back soon!
