During an in-person visit to the hotel on 12-26-11, the receptionist with an "I cant be bothered attitude" finally broke away from her personal conversation to attend to us. "If you want to make a reservation, you can call our reservations department. Ummmm... I was standing in the lobby, so why should I have to call someone else? After facing the "daunting" task of asking her coworker for a login name, she did access the computer and finally gave us rental and rate options in person. She even printed them for us to ponder but said that due to their current bookings, we would have to switch rooms a few times to make our stay work. That was fine. Sooooo, we drove 30 minutes to our home, packed our family for our local get away, and drove all the way back (this took the whole day) only to learn that the receptionist was incorrect in her offerings because of a policy that you must stay in the same cottage for 6 days. We were willing to stay at the resort for several weeks, and they had plenty of availability -- just in different cottages. Management tried to correct the situation but was unable to help because -- even though they had 7 available accommodations matching our needs -- they were unwilling to relocate us to OTHER AVAILABLE ROOMS as their schedule required them to. The service here is far below what we would have expected. They wasted a long day, cost us other opportunities to stay elsewhere, and acted like it was not their fault, despite the uncaring apologies for our inconvenience. For the comparable pricing, we will be happier at the Naples Grande or the Ritz Carlton ... where the staff actually pretends to care and does not cause problems for unsuspecting guests (now victims). The property is cute, but it is no wonder there are so many financial problems with this company.

Serious staff problems.Poor communication, then they played blame game, Nobody listened, front desk staff & manager didnt seem to know what was in the same building. We made reservations in Sept. 2013 for a room and boat rental for our 25th anniversary trip to Florida. We arrived Apr. 2,2014 & front desk confirmed our boat rental for Apr. 4. (I had specifically wanted the t top center console for a lot of reasons i wont go into) this was confirmed when we checked in! I even went to the boat rental store on Apr. 3 and told them I had boat rented for next day and got chart (nobody there asked or offered to check reservation). So, when we showed up at boat store to go boating at 8 they had no record of us even though we had reserved boat 6 months before & confirmed at front desk 2 days before. Their solution was to force what they had left on me and tell me its a deal. I still dont know what it costs to stay there or rent boat & I dont care. So, at 10:30 Im at front desk, manager is on phone (they said) & didnt come out. Insulted me with 50 dollar bribe to go away & leave them alone. If my wife had not really wanted to go to Marco Island I would have checked out right then. (also at 10:30 they still had not found keys or registration for boat) later when we returned I went back and when front realized I wasnt going away they sent out some under manager to deal with it. they do seem to think that offering 50 dollars for messing up a day of vacation is ok

One of the nicest resorts Ive ever been to! The staff are all exceptionally warm and welcoming, the facilities are immaculate, the beds are extra comfy, the grounds are gorgeous, and the pools are both relaxing and fun (they have a lazy river!!!). If you are staying in the building facing the water, there is a distance between the pools and the rooms, BUT they have a wonderful transport crew that pick you up in a nice van and take you over. My wife and I felt like royalty every time we went to the front. My wife and I tried the spa at the clubhouse and it was the best experience ever. I was very impressed with their facilities and we walked out feeling super relaxed. They all did a great job. They also have great restaurants nearby within walking distance. Bonefish grill was delicious and they also have celebrity chef Art Smiths new restaurant 1500 South! I would highly recommend this resort to any one who is looking for a good time.

We didnt stay in one of the condo rooms of the hotel. We stayed in a regular hotel room. Yes the room is luxurious but missing some essential things. In the room theres no place to take a seat if your staying with two. Theres just one seat and no table in the room. On the balcony they have placed two seats and a table. We had the unfortunate happening that our son was ill on a rainy day. Because of his illness we where forced to dine in. Because of this we ended up eating standing up. Not a big thing but if you advertise "no crowded rooms" than you really dont expect this. To visit the pool at the condo part you must walk or take the shuttle bus. Just some things to take in mind when traveling with a small child. They did resolve a issue in a good way. Also its a very nice hotel with very friendly staff but with their video on YouTube the set expectations somewhat to high for regular hotel guest.

I would wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer from one year ago that was disatisfied with the front-desk staff. Erin, who checked us in, and another woman were "icey" in demeanor and less than helpful throughout our week-long stay. We were shocked and had never met hotel staff who seemed so unhappy in their jobs (Mark, on the other hand, was happy to help us when a newspaper was not delivered one morning - he was the exception). The facilities were gorgeous. I picked Naples Bay because I noted that it had a balconies, suites with 2 bedrooms, and great pool facilites. The facilities were gorgeous, but at times washcloths, kitchen papertowels, toliet paper, etc. were not replaced by housekeeping (did they run out???). We had never run into this issue before either. Overall a good experience, but certain front-desk staff somewhat dampened the vacation.

Was just a guest at the Cottages at "The Club" side- great place that is great for kids and adults, perfect for young family, fine for singles but not a party atmosphere. The pools are kid heaven, literally couldnt be better, and unlike kid crazy places- adults can have a poolside cocktail in an adults only area which is separated quite nicely. Staff is friendly, prices are what youd expect, nothing is cheap but the food quality is good for the money. The condo I was in seemed brand new- custom level condo quality. Very quiet grounds in the cottages with a little old florida seclusion. A+ Tennis courts that are wide open 85% of the time even in season. Excellent work out room- yoga- etc. Great place- pretty relaxing even in busy season. Only negative is cost but in Naples there are no bargains and at least here you wont be disappointed/crowded.

While the resort appears nice, the room had a number of glaring issues that for the price are unacceptable. The bathroom fixtures were loose and hanging off of the wall and there were splotches of paint and staining on the bedroom ceiling. The night we stayed there was a large storm along with a tornado that literally moved through the resort knocking down trees and taking the power out. While that is totally beyond their control, they did not even have backup generators to provide emergency lighting in the common areas. In addition, the resort personnel did not provide any warning or alert to residents to take shelter. While no one at the hotel seemed to have been hurt there were several deaths and injuries that occurred during the same storm in other areas. They are lucky they were not affected too.
