One of my absolute favorite places to visit in this vast city of Jacksonville. While night life may be at an all town low in this city, Anyone looking for late night entertainment should choose The Landing as their initial spot, even if this isnt the venue you may be spending your night, The Landing lies right in the heart of local venues mere streets away, here lies a variety of local businesses such as Nine West, Riverfit Gym, and United States Post Office lunch locations such as Cinco De Mayo, Chicago Pizza and Hooters. For the night lifers, youll be looking towards Mavericks and Rush Street which are located right in the heart of The Landing complete with an intimate view of the St Johns River. Whether day or night, there is always something to do. Very family friendly so Singles, couples looking for a relaxing evening, or even families looking to spending time with the kids, I highly recommend making a visit. 5/5 hands down

Many people have shared their stories of The Landing with me. I am fortunate to have only great experiences here. We live in walking distance now for 3 years. Enjoyed many free concerts and events. Bars on the river are a great location. Christmas tree lighting and the boat parade always fun. Art walk nights are always fun. Ive never had any issues with vendors or visitors and feel safe here. Pretty sure there is wifi. I cant give any lower review Ive always had fun. I do hope it can be updated and renovated to match the growing demands and cultivate the Jax Arts community. Right now for shopping you wont find what Ive been told use to be many great stores and Im not the type to shop unless its outlet style I only enjoy the outdoor events and the Irish pub is my favorite for St Patricks day!

It is the only thing worth going to see downtown.....But to compare it to South Street?! I must disagree with the comment that the landing is compared to NYCs south street seaport. Being a New Yorker myself.....the only comparison is that there is water. South Street has many things to offer...for one things are open, there is a museum at the port, you have street entertainers so its like a festival going on all the time. Dont get me wrong The Landing can become something like South Street if the right investors came down here and money was spent right in this city...then Jacksonville could probably become the NYC of the south. Till then they have along ways to go....especially if you want to be compared.

The landing at first visit was definitely memorable. If your going here for the first or been around thw block more than once this place will always give you the same feeling as you first come visit. Its a very nice place with great people and food to enjoy when you want to take a break from walking their beautiful walk ways. The area is right by the lake so you have a beautiful view across that leads across the other side of the city and into the ocean. They also have events that go around here periodically such as live music, street performer and charity drives. This place is wondrous area and if you havent gone or just making a stop in town, I reccommend taking a break here!

This place, like Regency Mall, are now just strange relics from the past. The 80s gave rise to these types of things, the 90s killed them, so by the 2000s things were already falling apart - just in time for a Super Bowl. The entire landing should be a 1-spark incubator, and instead of rent-seeking, they should be incubating business that will mature out of this space to rent more appropriate spaces later - when they have income to support it. That is not what will happen - the city will push Slieman out and allow some nasty outsider to come in and re-develop. For conservatives to be so string in this city, they sure love holding on to real estate all over the city.

We stopped in Downtown Jacksonville coming from a trip in South Carolina to go stretch and see if their was anything special. We were able to find a good parking spot since the area wasnt that crowded as it was late afternoon on a weekday. When we went it, the mall looked all-right, not crowded but not empty at the same time. The venues were alright as I stopped for a lemonade. When I went outside, I was greeted with a wonderful view of the St. Johns River and skyline of Jacksonville. There was a nice breeze and I enjoyed seeing the small waves coming with the breeze. Overall, It was worth coming here to stretch and relax after being in the car for five hours

Went there this past Saturday (from out of area) around 5:30 to eat dinner and shop. When we entered the parking garage directly across the street and it was empty, shouldve been our first sign. Most of the shops were closed, and we just thought it was early. Food court staff just standing around. Went to the steak house and thought it was closed, but then noticed people inside, to only find the staff sitting by the door waiting for coustomers. Walked around to look at the other restaurants, but then only to see how dirty they were including the Hooters. Very dissatisfied at reviews we read online. Beware.

Highly over-rated. The indoor mall is open but most of the shops are closed during the day. Coffee, ice cream, and pastries are offered at small snack shops. The indoor mall is very shabby. One of the shop owners told us that the indoor mall has not met expectations. The Restaurants are open during the day and some have seating right next to the St. Johns River. As a local resident, I would not recommend The Landing, except for night time concerts that are offered from time to time.

It had a free concert going on in the center of it when my boyfriend and I went. It is basically a mall-like building, but it has an "outdoor" common ground where the stage is which is right next to the beautiful river. There are many restaurants, and bars. It was great for a night out on the town. The taxi was 5 dollars from Homewood Suites Hotel to the Landing. Also, you can walk from Museum of Science History to the Landing which only take about 10-15 minutes over the big blue bridge.

So much potential, but so little investment and upkeep. The City of Jacksonville needs to make this location a top priority if it intends to make Jacksonville a memorable place for visitors. Last evening at a concert, the entire audience laughed and applauded at the mere mention by the celebrity entertainer when The Landing was the choice location for their familys excitement while visiting our city. The current situation at The Landing is a major embarrassment for Jacksonville.

They dont have a ton of shops mostly places to eat or drink. They do however always have some sort of events going on that i generally like. Last time we went there was a gumbo cook off it was fun and lively as well as live music. They often have free concerts. We took the water taxi across the river, for anyone wondering it picks up right where the center is on the water, its 3 dollars to the other side and 3 back. Just expect if you go there to only kill a few hrs of exploring time.
