I came from Orlando to visit family, I called MODS 2 times to ensure our membership at the Science center allowed us free entrance into MODS. I was told yes, both times. When I got to MODS, parking was impossible to find, I ended up paying $10, that was the most reasonable parking fee I could find. The kids were very excited, since the Orlando Science center is their favorite, and the reviews for this place are pretty good. When I got to the box office, I was told that with the ASTC, MODS only allows two free tickets through memberships , our pass allows for 5 invididuals in Orlando. The fact is, I called twice and was never given that information. The girl at the box office told me it happens frequently. So for this reason, plus the $10-$25 parking makes it a place I will probably not visit in the future. I cant speak for the facility, since I didnt want to pay $30, to be at the museum for about an hour. I hope they can train their staff to provide accurate information to the public.

Great place for all kids ages starting from 2 I guess and for both parents too! Here is so many different exhibits and things to do and explore and adults can find a lot of interesting for them. One thing is disappointing is that the nearest parking A&E parking Riverwalk firing the weekends is 12$ flat rate no matter how long you are staying, but usually you can spend in the museum about 3-4 hours and why does this need cost you 12 bucks just to park your car!? The only one food option available at the museum is Subway witch is not a good option for your small kids but just one mile away you can find plenty of nice restaurants in Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas blvd. I like the first floor with a different fish and aquariums, on the second floor love the cockpit of an old plane with all the buttons and switchers available to touch. Nice place to spend some hours with your family and discover some interesting things.

Their website says people stay about 3 to 4 hours, I have a 6 year old and a 16 year old and we were still out in an hour and a half. Gift shop doesnt sell batteries so if you need them for your camera, bring some with you. Their bathrooms were so gross! Toilets plugged, food and trash all over the floor and no toilet paper in 4 out of 6 stalls. Waited almost 10 minutes for air boat adventure and as we were about to get on, the staff member that was there, stated my son could not ride because of his shoulder injury. We were first in line, standing there in front of her face, his arm in a sling but waited until we were getting on the ride to tell us he couldnt ride. Maybe if she hadnt been on her phone! The cost to get in and to park is way to much for what they offer. Will NEVER come back again. Definitely not worth the money!!

Our daughter attended two weeks of summer camp at the MODS. Every day she could not wait to tell me the amazing things that she had done and how much fun that she had. She really enjoyed all of the activities and loved the counselors. I was very impressed with the the entire operation and the way that things were run. Drop-off and pick-up were very organized and efficient, the day seemed to be a perfect mix of fun and learning, and the young counselor staff was just great. All of the teenagers working there that I observed looked and acted like they actually wanted to be there and that they enjoyed helping the young campers. I have already spread the word to other parents about our experience and our daughter will definitely be returning again next summer.Highly recommended!

It is okay, there is a ton of space for more. I think the price is a bit high. I also think that too meny of the displays focus for the younger audance then adult audance. However, all this can be forgiven, what can not be forgiven is that in the gift shop they were selling "healing" rocks... at a science museum.... what the bleep? When I called the person (Kevin Stradtnar) who runs the shop he said that those sell well, and to "look on the internets" (I kid not about him saying internets!) to see if the rocks really do work. "What is your scientic proof?" I asked- he of course had none- he cared more if it sold then if it was anything to do with science. This man should be fired, and this item and all other nonsence should never EVER be alowed near a science place.

My daughter wanted so badly to join summer science camp for a week. But the staff denied admission to my child based on the fact she was 5,5 not 6 years old. I asked them to give her a shot and if she doesnt fit I will take her out the same day and still pay for the whole week. They told me that because she is only 5,5 she is not smart enough and not strong physically and mentally. That half a year really counts, what they said. It is not like I was trying to take a 2 years old into he camp. Seriously?! She is about to turn 6, she is very independent child, with a hunger to learn something new and she was turned away. Sad. Such an attitude wont help igniting curiosity in kids and attract them to learn something. Never coming back to this place.

I went here for a 70mm IMAX screening of Star Wars, and the entire experience was amazing. The facility was clean, the staff at both the ticket booth and the concession stand was friendly, and the condition of the 70mm film print was top-notch, especially for a movie that had been playing for almost a month at the time of my visit. As a bonus, the $15 movie ticket included admission to the museum itself, as they were only open for another hour after the movie. The exhibits were well organized and highly interactive, yet there was one exception: the 3D motion simulator on the top floor was mediocre, as the 3D effect was not working well. Overall, if youre in town, be sure to visit MODS, as its a fun, family-friendly attraction.
