Wonderful food and atmosphere - a fantastic date spot! Crab cake was an unexpected large portion with a fantastic mayo sauce. We ordered the 1) pistachio-crusted swordfish + steak filet: forgettable, would move into another menu item. Tiny portions for this surf and turf dish, lacking in flavor. 2) Duck kalbi: INCREDIBLE. Easily the best dish of the entire night. The name implies korean inspiration, and definitely one can taste the sweetness in the glaze. Also comes with wonderful mashed sweet potatoes! Must-try! 3) Eggplant ravioli: super rich and very delicious as well; while you cant actually tell it is eggplant inside, you wont care because it tastes so good. Though it is listed as an entrée we ordered it more with the expectation of an appetizer portion, and it filled that role perfectly. Oh, and I allay forgot: the BREAD. My goodness, some kind of toasted spinach focacia bread from the heavens that is accompanied by pesto sauce. Yes indeed it was by far the best complimentary bread Ive ever had. I could easily just order drinks and eat this bread all day. Pro tip: try to get a seat on the upstairs balcony

This is a amazing place to eat, and people watch! Just be prepared for a VERY long wait during the peak hours. It is WELL worth the wait. The food here is nothing short of amazing! The brunch here is especially amazing. Ask for seating upstairs if you can. You may have a additional wait, but it is worth it. Eating downstairs is VERY noisy, and eating outside is a mess due to the foot traffic around the restaurant. The service it top notch. Our service has always been incredible to say the least. The servers here know there stuff, and they really go out of there way to make your experience a good one. I have serious food allergies, and they have always been able to accommodate me, and make sure that I am still pleased with my food. The one time I was NOT happy, I didnt want to say anything, as it was MY fault that my substitutions did not taste good. My server immediately noticed I wasnt eating much and inquired. I explained why I was not happy, and he returned my dish and the chef made something different for me, that met my restrictions, and was NOT on the menu. It was amazing. KUDOS!

Sigh another place that I wish I knew while I was living in South Florida! This place is about 0.5 miles north of the Las Olas and A1A, which is a very popular and touristy beach destination in Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant doesnt have a designated parking spot, though theres a $10 a spot right next to it, however, if you get to the corner of Alhambra and the street parallel to the A1A, theres a $5 flat fee parking lot not bad for a place thats literally on the other end of the block of the restaurant. They have amazing views of the beach, great food, quaint and chic atmosphere and they have a pretty good happy hour. We ordered the filet mignon which was mediocre, the walnut chicken which was tender and tasty, the salmon which was well-cooked and the blue crab encrusted mahi mahi which was fresh and tasty. Its priced reasonably for the quality, quantity and the location. It makes a cute date spot since you can walk up/down the beach before or after the meal.

Generally when you eat at a restaurant along the water on the beach you are gambling with both the price and quality of the food. This place is a brilliant success, the food is not over priced (especially for something on the ocean) and our meal was delicious! For an appetizer we ordered the ceviche and the escargot, the ceviche was a bit spicy but the escargot was delicious! not too chewy or over powered with garlic. For dinner we had the grouper and sea scallops and our plates were absolutely clean after our entree. We still found room for dessert and had the chocolate mousse and the creme brule. The mousse was dense and rich, perfect for a real chocolate addict and the creme brule was fresh and light, perfect after such a large meal. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and suggested both our entrees, and boy was he correct in his suggestions. Would certainly enjoy eating here again!!!

Went as a nice sit down romantic meal with my boyfriend and this restaurant did not disappoint! We sat on a small patio facing the street and the beach across the street. I had the Basil Tuna and my boyfriend had a hamburger. My meal was wonderful and I absolutely loved their bread they give you before your meal. It comes with some type of oil to dip it in and my mouth is watering just thinking about it now. Was right down the street from our hotel and very easy to get to. The waiter and waitresses were very friendly and knew alot about the menu. Only downside I would say would be, as no fault of their own, if you sit in the small patio on the side of the building there is a small ped-crossing sign that lights up and there is a alot of traffic and bright lights at night. But was still very relaxing and great food.

Went here for new years / my girlfriends birthday, was the worst new years dinner I have ever had. Was told 45 minute wait, ended up being over an hour and a half, which I wouldnt mind except during that time I saw at least 3 couples get seated right away because they knew someone inside. Once finally seated, took 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, when our server finally knew we existed we got our drink and food order out of the way, except 30 minutes later the food came out before the water we asked for. Our server hardly checked up on us, and when came time to pay, he wasnt even the one to take care of the bill. very very impersonal. Food was great, service was terrible, great place to go if you enjoy waiting 30 minutes for water.

The Casablanca is much more than a cafe -- it is a very unique Moroccan restaurant. The upstairs balcony has a beautiful ocean view. The house used to be a private residence, but has been remodeled in that classic Casablanca movie style -- very romantic and cozy. It is a good value as well. The service is always great. The food is authentic and delicious. It has not been Americanized much, it is very flavorful and always fresh. The kebob is fantastic, and comes with homemade tzatziki sauce and eggplant. The meat is quality and very well cooked and seasoned. There are other favorites like tabbouleh and plenty of seafood choices. The French onion soup is one of the best around town. We keep coming back to Casablanca year after year.

I went to this restaurant with a party of 4 & I wasnt as impressed as I thought I wouldve been. It turned out that only 1 person in my party was impressed... My grilled veggies were partly burned, my rice was luke warm & my kabob wasnt very flavorful. However, the garlic bread was AMAZING, but we were told that we couldnt get a 2nd serving. Im hoping that all of this happened because my party & I got to the restaurant late & were seated about an hour before closing... I dont believe Ill try this place again as our food presentation was for the most part under whelming... With that being said, the live entertainment was indeed very entertaining & the atmosphere was relaxing & windy.
