I was in love with this place after coming 4-5 times. But my last experience made me 2nd guess my opinion. My salad came out with barely any dressing (so did the girls next to me, so it wasnt an accident), and had to ask for more on the side. My husband ordered the Korean tacos, which the server raved was his favorite item on the menu - but it was so salty it made him sick. I tried it and confirmed. It made me realize that EVERYTHING on the menu is pretty darn salty. Yes is southern food, but beware. The food is heavy! The son loves the M&C, but be sure to ask them to leave off the dried parsley on top if you have a picky eater like mine.

Docking a star because the service could have been a few degrees warmer, but otherwise very happy with this charming place in the quaint village of historic Cocoa. Tight menu of southern classics and burgers -- the fried green tomatoes were especially good. Skip the Shrimp Chow Chow, nearly flavorless room temperature shrimp served with a dry, bland chow chow relish. Otherwise everything else packed a hearty flavor punch. My black & blue salad with grilled flat iron steak, served medium-rare as requested and loaded with rich gorgonzola, was delicious. Good selection of craft beers along with the usual industrial stuff.

The good. The burgers are great. The fried chicken is some of the best Ive had in a long time. The place is comfortable, for the most part. The staff is friendly. It has a great location. In cooler weather, the outside seating is quite nice, back and front. The prices are quite good for the amount and quality of the food. The bad: The place can be crowded and the placement of the tables leaves one feeling as though one is in the way. The food can come out cold and this is telling of their lack of attention to detail. Not much of a beer selection and the drinks are too expensive for the quality.

This place deserves 5 stars but I have to deduct one for the restrooms. No worries though, definitely go here and especially on Wednesday nights when you can get all-you-can-drink wine for $10. The menu isnt flawless but theres some awesome stuff on it too. Korean Pork Taco, Buffalo Soldier grilled cheese, gouda anything, shrimp and grits, the sides, salad, etc. The live music is nice. Yes it can loud on occasion depending whos playing but most of the time its quit chill. Theres a very laid back vide and it just feels comfortable here. Lots of locals who want to keep the place a secret.

A group of three, we came in and it was minimally busy. Seated quickly, ordered drinks and thats when it all went downhill. Took 10+ minutes for drinks and way over 35+ for our food to get here (a corndog, burger, & blt). Waitress was awful. She kept forgetting to bring us things. The food when we finally got it was...nice... I suppose but certainly not up to par for price or wait time. One of the people with me wanted new lettuce for their burger and the waitress just reached on the plate and took it off and walked off. Safe to say we wont be back.

This is our favorite Cocoa Restaurant. We have ate their food twice and both times it was top notch. The staff is on point and very attentive. Quality service and great food is hard to come by these days, but this place is the real deal. We felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was great. They offer an off the menu kids menu, I highly recommend the chicken tenders, holy cow delicious, kids gobbled them up!!!!! The Crab dip is to die for!!!! Great beer selection. If you could only get one meal in Cocoa, GO HERE!!!! You wont be disappointed.

Always a gamble over at Murdocks! Who knows what youll get! Today I ordered my usual and as per usual it was a brand new experience. Today my ciabatta bread was untoasted and incredibly oversized compared to my sandwich. Also, the ranch water I got couldve used a little more mayo bc upon opening the Togo plastic monkey dish, it abruptly exploded all over me! Yay! My chicken wasnt that over-cooked today, however, which is a victory in itself. Ah, Village Life. Unpredictable as ever! The food isnt bad, its just never consistent. Never.

A true gem in Cocoa! They have some of the best hot wings around and their burgers are always a hit. The pimento cheese is super creamy and rich. They salads are fantastic - especially the apple and gorgonzola one. And, if youre feeling super ballsy - get Porkys Revenge - it is so much meat! They do great events with live music and even some holiday tastings and menus. Staff is really nice, professional and fantastic at their job. If you feel like something sweet - the berry cobbler is totally worth it.

Nice place kinda has the Key West vibe going on. Food was mostly decent awesome burger, fish and chips with mahi sounded interesting but half was overcooked and burned, service was very slow, waited to be seated for a while then was told can only sit outside, when we asked about the empty tables we were then told "ok you can sit there". I would go again for the food but would definitely hope the service would be better as there are plenty of other places to eat in the area.

This is another local go-to place in the area. True southern classic food that tastes more home made than restaurant! A lot of the interior and some exterior are from a historic hotel including some stained glass. Try the pimento cheese burger with fried green tomato paired with one of several types of Mac and cheese or maybe the fried chicken! Whatever you choose you wont be disappointed and youll have a fun and laid back time enjoying the eclectic atmosphere

We visited for the first time tonight for dinner and it was AMAZING! The staff was very friendly and gave us great service. Loved the funky vibe and live music. Then the food just blew us away. The menu was a fresh breathe of air from the boring usual items. We ordered porkys revenge sandwich, crab Mac and cheese and the Korean pork tacos. All of the food was so good. You must try this place, 5 stars and def our new favorite!!!

Whats not to love? My most recent samplings included Chargrilled Caesar Salad, Fried Green Tomato BL, & Catfish Fingers - who knew catfish had fingers?! Great southern food, wide selection of draught and bottled beer, wine, full liquor bar, and all in a welcoming atmosphere. My last dinner visit we listened the local band "One Street Over" and they were awesome! Lots of music, friendly staff, kids menu too!
