My wife and I had wanted to come to the State Fair for years but unfortunately she never made it. My daughter asked if we could go down this year since their cousins live about 10 minutes away so I of course said yes and looked forward to it for several days before we came down. Coming from South Jersey I am used to the county fairs where you pay a small per car charge for everyone to get in but was told on our way from the cousins house that it was $9.00 per person to get in. I had thought that with a charge such as that we would get some really good sort of offering from the place to justify the cost but was disappointed when all the entry fee gets you is a chance to walk around and be attacked by snake oil salesmen trying to peddle the latest remedy to cure what ails you. If they ask again next year I will come back but hope to be better prepared for what could be a long hot day without a lot of fun things to do apart from watching others make fools of themselves riding the bull. I am not trying to be critical of anyone doing that as if I were younger I would have been up there as well but lets face it there is a sense of honor amongst fools when you are all trying to get to the same destination.

I would have rated this a 5 for overall fun and the experience however, the company that they deal with for the carnival rides is borderline insane. The cost to get in the fair is decent. 3 adults and 2 kids I think I spent 32$. But the rides, unless u get a wristband. Which they basically force you to do are way expensive. When u break it down its like a dollar a ticket and 3-5$ per ride. I think its 25$ for an all day all ride wristband but with two kids and myself, Id rather spend that money on groceries or six flags.

So I went to buy fries but the fries were super stale and bland not even ketchup can save them and I payed $6 for them when I payed for the fries I asked for a small soda and I asked the lady if it was $8 because I didnt hear her properly but she had the audacity to give attitudes and move her hand like the "dafuq meme" and gave me a stank face... other then that most rides wer good but some were broken and some seats didnt work so you need to get that fixed for it to be more enjoyable next time...

Its always a blast with the kids. We make it out to the Delaware fair every year. Loads of food and fun. My issues with the fair is mainly to do with the cost of food, I feel feeding a large family or party can really get pricy quick. The drink prices are just out of hand. I mean simple sodas or lemonade. But I think thats more of an issue with the vendors. The rides are great. They have something for all ages. Awesome place to take a date, even better with a group of friends.

Amazing fair!!! Would totally come back here again!! The shows were awesome. They had pig racing, a petting zoo (where you can feed a zebra and giraffe) and a circus. Performers are amazing!! The rides were good but nothing a small toddler can go on. Shops were great and inside air conditioning!! The animals were good!! Tons of things to walk through Dont forget to stop by the Tiki hut for some amazing inexpensive ice tea. We will be sure to make this a tradition!

Overpriced to a fault, but reminiscent of a different time. Our family came on a "slow" day (per the shuttle driver) so your mileage may vary, but we found the pace nice and easy. On this warm day, we found the main drag fun to walk down, but the rides and games were outrageously priced. Admission fees were reasonable, but Id almost be willing to pay more to not get assaulted with $5 games of chance and $4/$5 carnival rides!

Beware when you first pull in there are people charging to park but if you keep driving there is plenty of free parking with a tractor taxi to take you to the entrance gate. You have to pay $9 to get into the fair, plus what ever the fee is for the main event show if want to see it. The food is average carney foods and prices are ok. Plenty of farm animals and farm equipment to look at.

As far as fairs go, clean and well run. Variety of fun attractions and great rides for kids and adults. The game merchants are mildly pushy as they all are. Cat-calling ect. Food pricey as expected but on kid free day, the difference was made w all day bracelet. Great experience w all kinds of food and good attractions. *Again, safe fun place for a family outting!

The state fair told me there was no more handicapped parking so I had to half carry my disabled mother to the shuttle bus and help her on it and we passed the handicapped lot. There was a ton of empty spots we could have parked in. The parking people up there said they had no idea why that happened. Be careful going to the fair if you cant walk. They dont care.

Great place to visit with family during weekends especially if you are with children. Great attractions , fun rides , music events and lot of street food options does make your day happy and fun. This time there was helicopter ride too which was good adventure for me . But I found the price of rides and food little expensive compared to other carnivals .

We had an awesome time! Ate at the Bonz food truck, good food, generous portions and reasonably priced. Plenty of rides and good entertainment. I wouldve given five stars but upon arrival, we encountered a few very rude staff members when trying to redeem our all day ride passes that we had purchased online. Other than that, it was a very pleasant day.

So some of the food was a bit lackluster but then there was some that was amazing like the cinnamon roll. There were a ton of rides for my three-year-old daughter to get on which is kind of rare. Kids 5 and under are free which is nice and they also have a youth day which makes kids 12 and under free. Definitely worth the trip.

What a dumpster over price tickets four tickets for five dollars when it takes 4 to 5 tickets for each ride over price food that taste afoul drinks that are flat and hot bad side shows that they dont even try to make it look real so save your money and time and stay home and hope this log gets flushed down the toilet

Everything was wonderful, all of the staff were friendly and helpful, but I was very disappointed in the food. We bought a sausage and pepper roll, and the bun was stale. The funnel cake was tasteless! Its deep fried cake how is this possible? Besides paying for overpriced crap, again, we had a blast.
