You have to be in the right state of mind for the end up... They dont call it the end up for nothin! If you are still awake at 4am and you arent ready for the party to stop you just might "End Up" here. Of course they is no liquor severed after 2am so if you dont wanna be sober Im sure you could find other treats at this place as most sidewalk pharmacist end up here too. Im not sure what time the end up closes but its long after Im passed out at home for sure. Last time we ended up here we didnt leave until sometime after 7am. They have an unexpected patio out back with plenty of seating I thought there was even someone selling hot dogs or something last time (but I may have just dreamed that lol) There is also at least one pool table... Its all a little hazy... But if you are looking for the after party it is always at the end up. So if you want to keep party rockin head to the End Up and pound Reb Bull all night.

If you are a native San Franciscan, you have a love/hate relationship with this place. You have the mecca of great dance music, eccentric individuals, drunks and music lovers. I personally love the End Up, although the lines have been pretty ridiculous since it is the only after 2am spot where you can boogie if you arent ready to go home. They have done extensive upgrades to their couches, back room area, patio area and upper small patio area. I have always enjoyed having a cocktail in their garden and just listen to great music. Their sound system is also perfect for the size of the venue and I have never danced harder at any other venue in the city. This place is made to sweat. They have also added bottle service to their venue if that is something you are looking for at the Endup, but honestly, it is not worth it at earlier times.

Great House Music, great djs, a definite San Francisco institution. This is the type of place where you can meet a lawyer to your left and a homeless artist on your right. Most of the people that go here are into music, House Music specifically as its one of the BEST venues to hear the newest house music in the world. There are some drugs (as much as other bars) and less than nice bouncers, the service isnt all that great although the drinks are STRONG, the music is the best and the people are interesting. If youre a homophobe, older, not into crowds then someplace down the street is a better hang out for you...further down the street....down in the pennisula somewhere.

Very mysterious. The End Up used to be a hard core gay bar (get it: End Up as in the place where you find yourself at the end of a long night of drinking or as in your a** in the air.) It was the kind of place where, if you struck out everyplace else, you could at least go home with something. How it managed to transform itself into the go to place for young trendy, straight SFs looking to sober up a bit before heading home with their hook-ups of the opposite sex is beyond me. Still its a fun place with a lively crowd and, by and large, good DJs. If your over 30 and straight you probably wont score, but you wont feel too uncomfortable either.

If you really like to be abused, please do not miss this place!!! Just as an example my beer has been stolen in a matter of 5 seconds by a bar tender right in front of a friends eyes and they responded really violently when I claimed for muy beer. In terms of music, do not expect anything too sophisticated... Even if the place pretends to be shown as cool in the internet I heard there the worst latín rubish I was trying ti escape from. As said, if you really like yo be abused, do not miss It!!!

This is a fun place to go for those who loved after hours dancing and getting wasted. I dont really find this place much of the fun because the music is just okay, the drinks r bad taste, and the area are always dirty and stink. The restroom is very dirty, and small. Women, get really annoying when they r trying to use the restrom because men can share women restroom too. Also, this place is really highly well-known for party animals. You know what I mean by that. Hope this is helpful.

i ♥ ENDUP This is the place to come and dance, meet others, chill and relax all at the same place! I love this place! The vibe and culture that the Djs and event host create for this place is amazing. Everyone everywhere is smiling and having a great time. Starting off the week with THURSDAY NIGHTS♥ and ending it through Sunday night is all you need to satisfy your night life hunger♥ I give this place 5 stars and 2 thumbs up♥ One love

I love the End Up at 2am, 4am, 6am and 2pm. How can you beat a raised dance floor that other dancers will you help you up onto even when its absolutely packed? A fireplace on cold nights. A waterfall on warm nights. And one of the most dependable lineups in SF. Thank you End Up for being a staple in the SF community. I think my first visit was in 89. I hope youll still be here when Im 89.

Great place to hear fantastic house music of all kinds. Deep, funky, disco, vocal and electro house all call this place home. Crowd is very up for it, friendly and the atmosphere is lively and second to none in terms of having a good time. Staff s wonderful. This place is for the real, die-hard all night clubbers and dancers that arent ready to go home just yet. Highly recommended.

Went on a Saturday night, the cover was fairly cheap ($10). The dance floor was a little small. Drinks are reasonably priced, there is an outdoor smoking area, and while they didnt have a menu for typical bar food, they did have pizza available on site- $5 cash only. One downside was not being allowed to go out and come back in without paying cover again.

Oct 2014 - I went to The EndUp on my last night in SF. It was a good decision and I happily arrived back at my hotel at 5am. People are generally friendly here so if you are tired from the dancing, you can start a conversation with almost anyone. The rooms are quite peculiar so Id say keep your minds open when you visit.

We went to the end up for the evening of Sunday night, tea dancing. We were received as thugs by an aggressive bouncer who m pushed violently for no reason !!! I do not recommend this address. So we went to do the bars at the Beau and the BADLANDS where we had a great welcome!
