Everyone I asked in Redwood City sent me to the same place: the Underground on Broadway. You cant miss it - it has a bright London Underground sign high up above the door. The first night I came was Comedy Night (Wednesday), which was a great chance to see some up-and-coming talent and meet the hard-working host. The bar staff are really friendly and welcomed me straight away with engaging conversation - they even helped me get in touch with a friend when my phone wasnt working. I was lucky to be there for Halloween, when the place was packed with costumed party-goers (all really well-behaved and good fun), both downstairs playing pool and beer pong, and upstairs on the dance floor. The only thing that could be better was the Guinness (Im Irish so its important), but I think its the gas used in the US; all the Guinness I got elsewhere was much worse! Overall, the best bar for miles around..
