I make the 40 minute drive to Ramona Ranch Winery from San Diego at least 6 times per year and it is worth it. IMO this is the best and most consistent winery in San Diego County. If you were thinking about making the trek to Temecula, save your gas and come to Ramona Ranch.My wife and I have both brought our families to the winery and they loved it. My favorite is the sangiovese. Ramona has great growing conditions which allow grapes to ripen without being overly sweet. Great owners and homey environment.

Went to a meetup here and the place is beautiful. Nice view with a very inviting sitting area great for groups to share wine and enjoy conversation. I only tasted the reds but all were excellent, Im sure youll find something you like. The hosts and owners know how to help all have a good time.

Nice spot. First time at a winery so the experience wasnt what I expected. I thought the service would be much more but we didnt get much if any. Wasnt sure if thats how its supposed to be like for a winery but Im assuming its not. 3 stars for the view and mood. Otherwise... eh!

Audrey and her team make you feel at home. With a dash of southern charm and a glass of the Black Widow Merlot you relax into a state of calm surrounded by the beauty of the winery. I highly recommend Barrel 1 as one of the best up and coming wineries of Southern California.

Wine was good, had the super Tuscan. Views are nice and relaxing. Service was good, though I wish they would come around more often. Very family like feel to the wineries in Ramona which is nice.
