The first time.. I thought damn, this is a cool hidden Oakland treasure. Ultimately the day my fiancée and I went here the vibe was so positive and energetic.. It was a highlight with the bartenders and friendly staff and they had no idea that I WAS GOING TO BE ENGAGED TO THAT NIGHT.. eight outside on the dock.. ❤ New and upcoming. I wanted to brag and show it off.. So naturally I went back!, for a big event a warrior game. It was crowded and the bowling alley, bar, restaurant, arcade section was at capacity... So we stayed outside and watched at the outside bar!!. Fun and enjoyable.. They were busy busy. My drinks were not what I ordered 2 out of three times and I couldnt get food.. Once the madness died down a bit.. My friends and I wanted some of the Chicken wings that we were drooling on all day as we kept seeing them magically appear on peoples tables outside!. (Again we could not get any *waiter wouldnt even look nor respond to our calls) we went inside and sat ourselves because the lady standing in front of the dinning entrance was rude and acted as if it wasnt her job to do so. We waited... After about 25 min and no service.. And being loomed over we started asking whats going on.. Went to two different associates who did nothing. Finally one got us drinks and apologized to us, it was her second day and she doesnt know where our waiter is... Finally he comes around and helps the other people that have been waiting less than us!!. I was livid!. As I watched them get served and I have a freakn lemonade. I walked out and tbh I dont know when Ill go back!. I traveled from San Jose, I got wingstop.. Im in no hurry to be dismissed or under valued and spend my money to support. All I noticed was a lot of people dont have jobs.. And a lot of them mofos in there need to be replaced.

After checking out the farmers market with my girl I thought this place would be a cool place to get some lunch and hangout. As soon as we walked in you can see that they have a lot going on. They have bowling, billards and an arcade inside. Plus they have bocce ball outside. Their outside patio looks really amazing and would be the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few cold ones during the summer. Once we made our way to the front we were seated promptly. Our waitress was very nice and took our orders quickly. I ordered a cheese burger with fries and my girl ordered a chicken burger with portabello mushrooms and fries. Our food was served to us on little planks which looked cool. I thought my burger was juicy and full of flavor. My fries were delicious as well. My girl could only finish half her burger so I felt compelled to help her out. Her chicken burger was just as good as mine. Our buns looked and tasted fresh as well as the produce. Once we finished our meal we had to work off a few of those calories. We ventured into the arcade and had a lot of fun. Theyre selection of games isnt immense but still enough to enjoy. We never made our way to the other side where the bowling alley was but from what we could see that looked really nice. After spending a couple hours here and a good chunk of money I felt that I have to come back and enjoy this with some friends. Definitely want to catch some sunshine while kicking back a few breweries on the patio. I havent tried any other places in Jack London Square and I do intend to, but this place was awesome and if youre in the area looking for a fun place to enjoy lunch then you definitely need to check out this place.

You might like it, you might not. We stopped by for a beer and a bite, so opted not to brave the caverns inside and went for the beer garden instead- so this doesnt cover the interior of the joint. And, I suspect that if wed gone there to go bowling, Id have to adjust my review somewhat. The garden itself is rather nice. Row-style tables (just grab some available seats) which are exactly the sort of thing a beer garden should have, and plenty of overhead heaters to stave off the evening cold. Unfortunately, our server was completely overbooked. There should have been at least one more person for his section, from watching the guy run around like a madman trying to take care of everyone. Thankfully the folks next to us were jovial, as from what I gathered there had been several problems, including getting the wrong order- and to the servers credit, did everything he could to make things right. But, he saw us right away, and we didnt have to wait too long to get our drinks. I suspect we got lucky since we were on the fringe of the seating area, and the folks next to us needed a little more attention. Food-wise, She had the Barbacoa fries, and I opted for the cheese steak. The meat on the fries was pretty good, but the cheese steak was pretty...well, it shouldnt have been on the menu. In both cases, the fries were pretty generic food service fare, and not worth eating on their own. Decent beer selection tho.

Had the worst service ever at restaurant. Waited 30 minutes for table, then waited 20 minutes for server to come to table after going to host stand twice to ask for service. Once server did come, he didnt know beers available and we had to ask for menus. Once we ordered drinks and ordered tacos, beers took a good 15 minutes and we had to remind server to get them. We watched as other tables food just set in the window and trays getting cold, watching for ours so they werent doomed to the same fate. We had steak tacos which were 3 very, very small street tacos for $14 - very poor value but very delicious. Server was very awkward and rude, giving thumbs up to see if food was good, awkwardly coming up to table and forgetting about our food and drinks, then walking away without saying anything. To pay, we had to visit host stand again (twice). I asked to speak with manager and they were unavailable. Hassan at host stand was great but server was worst Ive ever had. No apologies - just sensed that we were bothering him at his work. We only played games and did not bowl. Maybe patio or bar experience would be better.

After what 2 years now service continues to disappoint, but its a large place and often seemingly understaffed, especially on a busy weekend night when there can be huge crowds. However on a nice night its a fun place to hang out, throw some bocce, bowl, drink and maybe eat. The food is okay but really not great. Its kind of average but pricey for that quality. I think your better bet is drink some beers, have some appetizers, maybe some sliders and eat elsewhere after. Like I said the place can be very busy so expect a wait for a lane or bocce court. If you can hit it off-peak youll have a more relaxed experience with less waiting. There is also a separate bowling alley at the back that can be reserved for private parties. Ive never been to one there but it seems pretty popular. A bonus for parents is the large game for token area. You can load up your kids with tokens and send them off to play while you drink and watch the game at the large outdoor bar with lots of screens.
