Over priced, not a good track. I was late for my tee time. Tee time was 10:50, got there at 11:05. Instead of making a bad time good the staff made it worse. The starter says my group already teed off and says well get someone to take you out. Im standing for 10 minutes so I asked another person at the stater desk is someone coming and he says yes, nothing else. At 15 minutes I ask the same guy is it too far to walk, he says yes. 22 minutes the same says hes here like he the hero. It was 22 minutes before I was picked up but no one checked in with me I had to approach them. At several times there four guys standing around so at 20 minutes I asked if there was anyone else that could take me out and he said no. When the round was over the valet asked me to come find my clubs. Ive had that type of expierence every time Ive played there. Shot me if I ever play there again.

The course offers some great views, but those were negated by the lack of customer service. After finishing our 1st round, we asked them to store our clubs for us over night since we were playing the next morning. They told us they could not do that. We did not have a car so we had take our clubs back to the house in an Uber (45 minutes out of the way) and miss our dinner. Most courses that charge these kind of greens fees are searching for ways to impress their customers with service. Not the case here.

Overall the course layout was decent but definitely not worth the price. The greens and pin placements were ridiculous. Pins were placed on extreme slopes where if you hit a putt either short or long of the hole, the ball comes all the way back to you. This happened on several holes. A few times, the ball lipped out on putts and then rolled off the green! Silly pin placements made this course not worth the high price tag.

Obviously Pelican Hill is a great golf course, and it is priced as one, especially one located on the luxurious Newport Coast. BUT, do NOT practice here, there is almost literally not putting green (the largest one has 2 holes in it), and the range is straight up a hill. BUT, do come here just to eat and watch golf in their bar/grill.

we played the North course because South course was closed. It is a nice course but not worth $320.00 to play. They have it overpriced and I would not recommending playing it for that price. plenty of good coursed to play in Orange County that are between $100 and $200 to play.

Definitely one of the better golf courses in southern california not as challenging as it looks. But there is a premium being paid for playing at such a established place with extraordinary views. Saw Natalie Gulbis there which gives it the 4th star! Heh

HORRIBLE MUSIC BAND. THEY PLAY MOST SONGS NOBODY KNOW. SOMETIME CUSTOMERS JUST GET UP N LEAVE. THEY DON T FOCUS ON THE CUSTOMERS. GOOD IS OK BUT VERY SMALL PORTION N EXPENSIVE. NICE VIEW ESPECIALLY WHEN THE SUNSET.

Amazing course. Played the north course had John as our fore caddy. One of the best rounds I have played in a while. John really made it great. I will request him next time when I play the south course.

The course is in impeccable condition and the views from the north course of the southern California coast line are stunning. Very challenging, but not enough to ruin a novice golfers day.

I volunteered at a charity golf tournament here. Joe was one of the coordinators. He did an amazing job. I highly recommend this course for an event. The staff is a pleasure to work with.

Pricey but worth it. The course and the facilities are fantastic. Great views of the ocean and amazing gardens around the fairways. Not too long but tough design.
