I use to go here at least twice a month for a year in 2010 :) Im not sure how it is right now, but Im guessing price for cover went up. Parking: I always park on the street parallel to avalon near pantages because its usually cheaper. Bathroom: Second floor bathroom is cleaner and shorter line. If youre waiting in line outside and have to pee, theres a bar in a nice hotel next door (?) (just walk right in). Or go to Trader Joes...which is a bit of a walk. Alcohol: its a club...never cheap So much great memories with friends, amazing DJs and random people youll be bff with then forget what they look like the next day. Ah...and those 40yr old asian creepers with their avalon dance - hands on each others shoulder twisting left and right with dark glasses on - (someone PLEASE explain to me why I see tons of those in there!). If they touch u, dont hesitate to slap them! Theyre usually too fd up to fight back. Bonus: dirty dogs are cooking outside when its time to leave the club I honestly dont know how people could party there til 6am...I think my record was 4;30-5am but I was clinging onto friends while i napped on them around 3:30am. I also came here for A Perfect Circle(3 nights in a row thanks to my friend!!! woooo)! The atmosphere was WAY different. More non asians, I could see the ceiling and it reeked of pot lol Im giving them 4stars because of all the fun memories Ive had with so many people. -1star for the creepers and they sometimes close off the 1st floor when there are too many peeps

I was there on a regular Saturday night. It is a place itself was great. The quality of the music was extraordinary. The sound as well as the light show were as good as it gets. The same holds for special effects and additional efforts (girl posing at the entrance, guy in costume who entertains the people). What I did not really like was the crowd. Since I was told that this is supposed to be an upscale place, I put on black pants and a white shirt (in order not to do anything wrong). I felt way overdressed. They let enter some guys with sweaters and even heats. At the tables there were some 53 guys with way too many muscles and tattoos - in underwear-like shirts. If those guys wanted to enter my place, I would rather call the police to search them for drugs instead of letting them enter. And the number of hotties could be counted at two hands (an maybe 3 or 4 toes). To the guys that did not get in: if you didnt get in, you probably deserved not to enter any club (unless you are a group of more than 5 guys - for you it will be hard to enter any club). The doormen were definetely not selective enough - and really nice. Summing up: great location, the crowd was rather casual than upscale. A lot of people will like it.

This place is the EDM club in LA besides Create Nightclub. I love how big this club is. Upstairs is where you can sit down and chill. Last year was my last time coming here and still expecting to come back, just waiting for a really good and famous dj. I just hope they have the international djs playing in this place just like Create Nightclub, and I think this place wouldve been a perfect place for a rave club. Youll see most asian people here, everybody are very friendly... If you are new to a rave club then you might find this place creepy. Lol. Saturday night is the perfect night to party till morning. If you are looking for rave club, I would recommend this place. Secondly is the Create nightclub which is closeby. But the djs are way greater at Create than the djs in Avalon. I wish Avalon have those djs so I can only come back here all the time.

Avalon Hollywood is a very big club in LA. Is located between Vine St. and Hollywood Blv. Great position in West Hollywood, only a few minutes from Sunset Blv. I love this part of the city, and Avalon is an institution here! In the club there are a ground floor and a first floor; in the ground floor you can find the stage, the bar, and some sofa. Its very beautiful and friday theres the Control Night, with techno music. I dislike the price: 30$ without drink!! Anyway here people under 21 can enter.. so its a good choose for people who havent reached the adult age.

Infected Mushroom xmas eve. Awesome show. Huge club. Great sound. Very strange crowd. Eighty percent Chinese. Kind of a reverse take on the Jewish Christmas tradition (more so because IM are Israeli). We were in a nich by stage right. There was a garbage can behind the proscenium. Chinese girls kept going there to throw up. Old drunk Chinese guys kept trying to break into clumps of young dancing Chinese girls to dance with them. Kind of creepy. Lots of smoking in the VIP lounges next to the dance floor. Anyway, had a great time and would go back again.

Will never go to this venue again. Went to see an edm artist Savant in summer and was told at 10pm i could not come into the venue wearing shorts, and the only way i could come in was to walk to a souvenir shop and buy a pair of sweatpants (because i love california sweatpants look way classier than shorts, right?) Also, for having a person in the bathroom, the condition of them was awful. Mix that in with $10 12 oz beers and $15 weak mixed drinks, and overall crappy attitude of the staff, there are plenty of other wonderful places in LA to spend your money.

First night in LA. My friends and I were told this was a good place to check out. So we booked a table and got a couple bottles for the night. I have to say it was some of the best service Ive experienced at a club of its size and capacity. We were escorted to the front upon arrival, showed to our table, and was regularly checked up on throughout the night. Joseph (not sure his proper title) as well as the security staff, made very sure that my first night in LA was a great experience.

The bartenders here are CHEAP and BEG you for a TIP!!! Very LOW CLASS! Bartenders PURPOSELY fill the drinks not even close to the top and that makes you want to ask if he can fill it to top....then he tells you to TIP him and he will fill it up to top! HOW LAME! Never experienced this in any other club! I had friends and strangers tell me they had the same experience here! Dont waste your time going here!

Fantastic interior. Clean, and air-conditioned. Drinks were pricey. Entrance fee was $15 and on top of that, $10 for a teeny cup of cranberry vodka. Bartender was a sweetheart however. The demographic was mainly gays. They have 4 male strippers on stage. The music they played on this Thursday night was generic pop music. From my observation, it was most enjoyable for groups of 4-5 individuals.

My favorite club. Diverse bookings (techno, house, trance, trap, big room, psy, and more), amazing sound and production (lasers!), reasonably priced beer (around 7 i think), and the best 2am - 7am weekend afterhours in Los Angeles in the second room upstairs (Bardot). If you want to keep partying when they close at 7am, go to Josephs one block over on Ivar and Yucca.
