This place is very kid friendly! My kids and best friends kids loved it. They have sections for life, earth and physical science. Being a science teacher, I love it when companies invest in making science fun and engaging. The only reasons for the 4 stars is that it was a bit smaller than other museums Ive been to that are tailored to kids and the parking. All of the exhibits are unique, however. We absolutely loved the news booth where you could record like a real news anchor. I would say that you would have fun here. Expect to stay at least 2.5 hours even though we stayed about 4.5 hours with 6 kids. The parking was horrible considering that its downtown and not much space for parking. My friend found a parking space in a parking lot about a 5 minute walk away and I got a parking spot on the street perpendicular to the museum after driving around for about 10 minutes. I had to pay the meter and theres a 2 hour limit so I had to go outside to pay it a second time.

FUN interactive exhibits! My kids (11 and 9) and I all thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. 11 year old said this was like a multiple science lab area where you could learn facts in a way far more exciting than reading a textbook. 9 year old said this museum had cool ways of teaching you about your body. Weve been to several discovery museums, and this is one of my favorites. Heavy emphasis on the human body. We spent 4 hours here on a day when only 1 or 2 other families were present. If youre present on a busy day, plan to arrive when it opens so you have the full day to play with all of the exhibits!

I like the museum but the policy of no longer honoring a membership from mid America museum is frustrating. I purchased a membership at mid America museum with the clear understanding that I would be able to use the membership for the contract period however that is no longer the case. I live in Little Rock and would not have purchased the membership in Hot Springs had I known I would not be able to use the card. I have purchased memberships to museum of discovery before here in Little Rock. The director at museum of discovery kindly stated there is nothing he can do about the situation.

I love learning and went to the museum hoping to see more in the way of space displays. There was an arkansas flag that had been to space, but that was about the extent of their aerospace displays. There were some fun interactive displays for sound and gravity other physics. Great for kids they even have a play center in the middle of it all kids could play in for atleast half an hour. I removed one star for being too kid oriented me and my fiance both being in our mid 20s felt weird being there without a child in tow

Love this place the kids loved it also. Recommend to not skip the Tesla coil theater for an extra small fee $2 that will last about 15 to 20 minutes. They have lots of hands on experiments such as the forces of natures from earthquakes ( P and S waves simulations ) to tornadoes swirling effect replica etc. Also they have a room to simulate the power of tornado with the sound effects , news feed of an actual F-4 tornado. Do not forget the wiggle room for children under 6 and the human body exhibit.

Amazing interactive museum. Lots of hands on activities for children. The science involved is best suited for school age children but there are lots of things to see and touch for the young ones. They have a great "Tornado House" feature that is best suited to older kids. Plan to spend several hours here. Great food opportunities when you go..just walk down to the River Market or one of the other nearby restaurants. We always park "under the freeway". It is free and covered.

This place has a little bit of everything for a person to have hands on Discovery of the human body, tornadoes and much more. They offer a Tinkerfest once a year that lets you tinker in different ways both big and small. This is a museum that my kids always enjoy going to over and over. If you plan on going more than once in the year get a membership because of events like Tinkerfest, Harry Potter, adult nights, etc.

Great location to explore wirh youngsters under the age of 12. As two seniors we found the "Grow" room with Vet clinic, dino dig and the pool noodles to be stimulating. Lived the energy generators, wind, water & copper coils. Sadly the front desk was nor informative that the Tesla theatre wasnt until 3 p.m. & required an additional fee & a walk back to entrance desk.

This is a wonderful museum for Arkansas. We would drive 2 hours at least once a month to visit and were members the whole time we lived in Arkansas. There isnt much to do in Arkansas for little kids but this made up for it. Perfect childrens museum with SO much hands on and I miss it. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves!

Very nice setting for the family to experience. There are interesting areas not only for children but adult as well! my 12 y/o didnt even want to leave and my 2 was simply amazed by the stuff available for her to do! Location is in the heart of LR downtown and plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby within walking distance!...

It brings Science alive, especially for the kids developing minds. I went with my 7 year old daughter, on her field trip. We both had a blast, lots and lots of mind blowing experiments to learn from, Plus the live show they put on, in one of many theaters, was well put together, and interactive.

Awesome place for the whole family. There are. All kinds of fun things for the kids to do but a lot of great and smart things for adults too. Staff is extremely fun, knowledgeable and excited about what they are doing. If you are an adult check out the monthly Science After Dark programs!

Awesome experience for kids of all ages. Great science experiments and learning opportunities with electricity, pulleys, sound machines, weather, a bed of nails, and the "Guiness World Record Bipolar Musical Tesla Coil" show (worth the extra money).

Really fun. Bring your kids here to get them fired up about science. The last Thursday is Science After Dark too. Adults get access to the building and can drink locally brewed beer without the kiddos. Every month is a different science topic too.

Really enjoyed the entire museum myself. My daughter whos 2 had a great time at all the stations. And I loved that the museum is really educational and super fun at the same time for all ages! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who has kids.

Weve been here numerous times, on field trips with school, with just our family, and every time weve had a great time. Very educational, and presented in a fun way for the kids. Hands on, so theyre always engaged. Fantastic place to visit.
