Really wanted to see this. However, after arriving late afternoon on a Sunday, we found the place closed due to rain. (Kind of ironic, for a Maritime Museum to close because its wet!) To make matters worse we also noted they are regularly closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the summer. Not wanting to stay in town for 3 days to accommodate a visit, we had to forgo this one. It does appear it would be an interesting stop, however. Just not very convenient for people traveling through if its closed 3 days in a row.

Totally awesome! My husband and I are both retired Navy and we had a terrific time touring the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum. My husband was also a Navy Submariner so the USS RAZORBACK was an added bonus to our visit. The volunteers at the museum provide excellent information during the tour and have done an amazing job refurbishing and maintaining these Navy vessels. I HIGHLY recommend everyone that is visiting Little Rock to take some time and visit this museum!

If you like navy and warships you must go there. Amazing place! USS Razorback served in WWII. Its a submarine, it was in the harbor during Japanese signing their surrender. It has 12 kills? If I recall correctly. She is absolutely incredible. They also have USS Hoga that theyre trying to preserve and save, a WWII tug and fire extinguisher boat that saved numerous ships after the Pearl Harbor attack

We visited Little Rock in June and tacked on the museum as a quick adventure just before leaving and it was great. The sub tour was just the right length and our guide was friendly and entertaining. We really got the impression that he loved the job and loved the material. One of the best things we saw in the city, hands down, and a great way to finish off the visit.

This museum has a WWII Fleet Submarine that made 5 war patrols, as well as a harbor tug that was at Pearl Harbor on 7 Dec 1941. A well maintained collection of items complements the ships. AIMM is well worth your time to visit!

Small museum displaying mostly naval items from the USS Arkansas battleship and the displayed Razorback submarine. The tour through the submaribe was interesting. Free parking and $8 for the tour, $5 for seniors.

Had a good time with my kids. The guide was very knowledge about the submarine, the actual crew, and painted a great picture of what life was like for the men on the crew. Price was surprisingly cheap.

How many people get to tour a WWII-era submarine? Answer. Not many. This is what you will be able to do here as well as take a tour of the Arkansas River on a 19th-century paddleboat. What a treat!

This is a gem on the Arkansas River. Worth a stop and very informative. They do close on rainy days for safety because metal decks tend to get slippery when wet.

One of the few places where you can go into a submarine. Be aware that it is small and require going up and down vertical ladder.
