I enjoyed this park. It was my first time visiting. I didnt realize how big it was! I went there with my 4 month old in a stroller. There are paved trails there as well as some lakes to enjoy some beautiful scenery. You would never know you were right by a city! The park was very clean. Theres a few playgrounds for the little ones as well as a basketball court. A lot of the trails are shaded and there are gazebos to rest in the shade as well. The paved trails can be kind of bumpy at times with a stroller, but its still doable. The only problem I ran into was knowing where I was in the trails. Theres different trails to go on, but they are not well labeled so it took my awhile to figure out how to get back to my car. Just be observant! Everyone I saw while on the trails and in the parks were friendly and respectable.

+JMJ...This park was a favorite go-to for leisurely strolls around the lake. It is super dog friendly with lots of people walking or jogging accompanied by their canine pals! I would occasionally walk my schnauzer who is a handsome dog and very child and adult friendly. And, this park also affords the more athletic the opportunity to run/walk what seemed to be miles of trails. Some trails are a little steep for the out of shape (me) walker. There are lots of grassy areas for sports, many covered pavilons for cookouts. The park could be very busy with lots of folks recreating with family and/or friends: BUT, at the same time it is a great place that offers the solitude of just sitting on one of many benches that faces the lake. Fun watching the ducks, plenty of Canadian geese, and some water creatures.

I know its not exactly easy to get lost per se but my only wish is for there to be more trail blazes so that its easier to tell where different amenities lie. If youre in the woods, it can be difficult to tell which way your particular parking lot is or where the recreation center building is. Other than that, it has quite nice shaded walking and a good view of the lake in the middle, where you can stop and sit or simply pass and admire on your way.

Great place to bring the family for a walk, or games in the field. Views are great and relaxing, yet you dont need to walk far from your car. Everything in the park is easily accessible with a stroller, although there may be some large bumps on some paths throughout the park. Scenery is great, there are many places to sit and relax, and there are trails around ponds and through woods with a wide variety of happy wildlife.

Sr coffee time meets there. Some of us play older version of tennis but the name escapes me. Many people rent a large room for wedding receptions or maybe weddings. Call the county to check pricing and availabilty. Nice and clean. May do day care too? Rent equipment from this bldg to be used on outside facilities of park. Large parking for guests at functions.

Such a great park. Lots of trails, both paved and natural, a pretty lake, plus a basketball court and soccer fields. Recently theyve added walkways on some wooded paths, over sections that are perpetually swampy. Only downsides are having to watch out for fast trail bikers and the occasional off leash big dog.

Deep Run is a pleasant Park open all year round that has Trails , fields , playground and picnic areas. The park is well maintain trash is regularly removed making any trips there Pleasant to the eyes. If you enjoy nature you most certainly will enjoy Deep Run with its mixture of activities you can do there

Lots of good trails to ride my bike through everywhere. Great place to throw a Frisbee in Park 3 and in Park 2 there is a great play area for children, Park 1 has a lake to do some power walking at with a view. There is a Rec Building to sign up for community classes, but I have not done so yet.

Nice ponds with walking trails around them as well as a playground and athletic fields. I enjoyed walking on the paths through the woods too. Judging by the number of people I saw there it is a popular location among locals but not overly crowded. Large parking areas.

Great place to bring kids with their two playgrounds. One is more suitable for smaller kids. The trails are great to go for a walk or run and the pond makes a great backdrop. They have a bunch of pavilions scattered around that are perfect for parties

Lovely neighborhood park in Henrico county. Keeps the family busy for hours. Offers many classes and free play game hours. I have tried badminton and pickleball. Kids love to bike round the lakes, explore the trails and enjoy the 3 playgrounds.

Great park for walking, hiking, cookouts, etc. Lots to see and explore. Lots of folks bring their dogs there for walks, people are considerate and the park is well maintained. There are paved paths as well as trails.

Great park with lots of walking/running trails both paved and unpaved. Amazing playground in the back and lots of field space for sports, playing fetch with your dog, or just catching some sun on a nice day.

They have a few very nice nature trails, two stocked small ponds to fish in, as well as two very nice playgrounds. The playground in the back is larger and nicer than the one at the front of the park.

Table Tennis and Volleyball (indoor) year round Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:00pm-8:30pm. Indoor activities are a hidden gem. And yes, the outdoors (lake, paths, fields,etc) are nice too.

Huge grass field, walking/jogging trails, and ponds. Landscape is great, and well kept. You cannot take dogs off leash. Could they add a dog park, for owners to take the "whole family?"

Good shaded running trails in the woods with some moderate hills. Can run a 5k without repeating too much of the trails. Good playgrounds for the kids. Good soccer fields.

I think the fishing info posted here is bogus...never seen anyone fishing nor evidence that any one has..nice place to walk your dog though, dont forget you plastic bags.

Great place for kids to play however somebody was letting a kid way to big play there and he was pushing the smaller kids off of things he was too big for.

Big park. Best place to go in town when the weather is too hot for outdoor. The kids playground here is totally surrounded by trees and full of shade

The paths are well maintained and mostly level and it has a nice lake to walk around with lots of seating and picnic spots. Plenty of parking.
