Let me start by saying this is one of the better theaters in the area. Staffed by friendly people, premises are clean, no complaint in these aspects. Free parking in the parking garage across the street and also $5.25 standard movie prices on Tuesdays are great selling points, dont change that! The one gripe I have with this theater is the new "reserve your seat" policy. It seems they took the idea from the other theater in the area. It works for that theater but is really a flawed policy at this location. There have been multiple times I have gone here and picked my seat at the point of purchase, which by the way REALLY slows down the line, just to get into the theater and discover that my seat has been taken by someone else! I havent made a big deal about it, but last night somebody in front of me did. They got a manager to come into the theater with a flashlight, during the movie may I add, to ask a gentleman that was sitting in the wrong seat to move. Do you know how distracting and unprofessional this whole ordeal was! Im absolutely willing to give this theater 5 stars, in my mind they need to address a couple of things before they earn those extra stars.

The best place to see a variety of popular films in multiple formats in the Reading, Pa, area. Clean, cheaper to see IMAX or IMAX 3D formats than nearby theaters in King of Prussia, for example. Additional discounts available in conjunction with Restaurants in the "Entertainment Squanare" district of Reading. For example, spend $10 minimum at Jimmy Kramers Peanut Bar, just 3 blocks away, and you can pre-purchase discounted tickets for any show in advance (need not be used that day) it allows for purchase of a $9 admission at $6, or admission at $9. So, if you were having lunch on a Tuesday (even a blue plate special), you could pre-purchase movie tickets for you and your spouse on the following Friday... And that $10 meal just saved you both $6-$8 on movies. Businesses in the area work together to promote tourism and excellent values to bring your business downtown.

This is my favorite movie theater. I grew up close by so this is were I went for many movies growing up. Then, in 2012 I went to the midnight release of The Avengers here and sealed my fate. It was a packed house with everyone very hyped. Staff handled things accordingly and kept everyone safe while letting people have fun too. That was the best movie experience of my life and now me and my group of friends return here for almost every super hero movie premiere even after we all moved away for college. I prefer Imax for the best experience, but will go standard if I want to see a movie a second time. They also have a student discount at the counter which is very nice. Looking forward to my next visit!

I really appreciate R/C summer series free to the community. Intention was good. Unfortunately there were 6 or 7 preteen or teenagers right behind us swearing loudly the worst words, yelling, kicking seats intentionally. What I would recommend in light of all the small children is that the theater staff inside during the shows as a presence, and to remove people behaving inappropriately. This group placed no value on the generosity of the theater or care for those around them. It was shameful. I did report it to an attendant outside when the movie ended. This experience deters me from going downtown for a movie .

Typical example of how everything in Reading is allowed to get run down. Floors sticky and filthy. People talking non stop during the film. And while Im a fan of loud surround sound, the audio was way too loud. I even had to walk out and ask if they could check the volume and turn it down. I was dismissed with it would get quieter after the trailers. It didnt. Shame because I was so excited when this place opened and was new. It really made going to the movies a treat again.

The knucklehead at the ticket booth said we could get our 3D glasses before entering the theatre. It was not a 3D movie. While watching the previews we noticed the picture had 2 images. We complained so they gave us 3D glasses. It was NOT A 3D MOVIE so we complained again and an employee said the manager was fixing the problem. 30 minutes later the picture cleared up. The last time I went to this theatre they seated me in the wrong auditorium.

This theater met my expectations and then some. The seating was comfortable, sound quality of the speakers was great, and it all wasnt ridiculously overpriced. They have a mix of both regular and IMAX movies although I have not been to an imax movie here yet Im sure the quality is just as good as their standard movies. Will definitely come back here again, very much enjoyed my time.

This is our theater of choice for its overall movie-going environment. In addition, the parking is convenient, the Goggleworks is right there, and it has special events like the Met and Broadway productions. The fact its in the city of Reading makes it even more deserving of our support. We have to keep Al Boscovs statue smiling. P.S. Love Panevinos food and drink as well.

One of the nicest theaters around. Large tubs of popcorn come with free refills, so you can play the "finish it while the previews are running and get another one before the film starts" game. This is best done with friends, or by yourself if youve unlocked hard mode. Theres free parking in the garage across the street, or in the slightly spooky one behind the theater.

We frequent this place generally once a week. Always clean and the staff is always friendly. Here and there youre in a theatre with people who talk the entire movie but there isnt much this place can do about that. Food and drink is expensive but that is every movie theatre, Im not sure why people are shocked that a small pop corn is $6.

There are three things that make R/C theaters a great experience: family friendly movies during the summer months, great screens and sounds quality in the theater rooms and affordable pricing for showtimes and food at the concession stand. If you want to catch a flick while in the city of reading for an affordable price look no further.

While movie Theatres are getting more expensive, this one still feels like it costs more than it really should. Popcorn and drinks are way over priced, they have the same deals as every other movie theatre, and, other than the IMAX screen that adds even more cost, theres nothing super special about this theatre.

Been there several times it is a great place to watch a movie yes it is a little over priced but in this day and age what isnt and as safety gos never had a problem and every time I have been there there was a police presence so if you are looking for a nice place to go see movie I would recommend this theater
