Its early in the year, but the course is in great shape so far. They made some changes to the layout and added a few traps to make it even more challenging, but still its a relatively short track in my opinion. Perhaps thats the one thing I like most about this place... Its a great course to walk and you get a much better feel for your game if youre able to do that. On a nice spring day, youll get lots of sun and fresh air as the steam from the cooling towers always blows away from the course ;). As for the negative comments regarding the fairways, this was probably in regard to when they were under repair last season. Honestly, Id be pissed too if I encountered this myself, but it was a necessary evil in order to restore the course to the condition its in now. Highly recommended. NOTE: Joshua Ryan, a 10 year old from Norristown, plays this course frequently. He finished 3rd place in the Augusta National first Drive, Chip and Putt Championship on April 6th. Hes primed to be a PGA Tour sensation from our area (in a few years).

Course is tight and interesting. It challenges you to make shots. The condition is excellent though the bunkers could do w a little more sand. The par five twelfth (spectacular), par four thirteenth, and the par three fourteenth are as good a three hole test as anywhere in Pa. Public Golf. The Course conditioning is currently outstanding and has steadily improved and matured over time. Theres a nice little secluded short game area tucked in a Grove with flanking mounds between the 9th green and 10th tee. Brilliant design. Good looking Clubhouse bar and grill and multiple simulated indoor golf booths push the amenities way beyond the usual. Im not a native to this area so, Ive explored a lot of places across my time here. With many other outstanding options, this golf course is a true gem.. My favorite, hands down. The reasonable rates make it possibly the best value anywhere.

The day starts by dropping clubs at bag drop. Nobody there. Carts sitting there soaking wet. Walk into the pro shop to a rude old guy behind the counter (he needs to retire). I was 45 minutes early as usual. The old guy says why are you here so early. I say I usually hit balls before I play. He barks we dont have a driving range. Sunday morning and the traps werent raked from the previous day. The course layout is really strange. Balls flying all over, had several balls come flying onto greens and tee boxes (wear a helmet). This might have been the worst golf experience I have ever encountered.

While Linfield is relatively inexpensive and the staff is friendly, the course itself is just not in good shape..except for the sand traps. The tees were 3/10 with a couple closed. The greens were essentially sandboxes with a little grass on them. Also, as previously mentioned you need to keep your head on a swivel. The course is very tight and fairly wooded, which means with a lot of hacks out there you will be hearing fore....a lot. The holes are a decent design.. some pretty difficult. There are much better courses nearby for about the same money.

Linfield national golf has tight holes many with forced carries and some holes simply too narrow and too unusual to describe. In theory the greens are the best part of the course. Played on 8/20. After playing the first Hole the course looked promising however it was downhill from there. 80% of the tees were burnt out dirt. 75 % of the fairways were spotty with little grass and 40% of the greens were unplayable burnt out with dirt snd sand. Dont waste you money. Other nearby courses offer a much better value.

A couple weeks ago went to Linfield National (??) to play a round of golf and will not got back any time soon. The course is way over priced for the shape and condition. There is at least 6 to 8 courses with in a half hour that are the same price ($50) or less. Greens, tees and fairways are in rough shape and it is a shame because the lay out of the course is okay. The food was laso over priced with a dog and a drink coming in just below $7. What a shame!

I just read the 2 negative reviews about Linfield National. I played there 2 weeks ago and the course I played is beautiful. Tee to green I thought it was in great shape! The 2 negative reviews are 2 and 4 years old. This was my first trip so whoever is working the grounds now knows what they are doing. Great views too. I live an hour away in Pineville, PA but will be back there soon. In the fall it has to be awesome too with the leaves turning.

Showed up for our tee time and waited 20 minutes at the tee box before other groups played. Cart stopped working and we had to walk 5 holes because apparently its that difficult to send out another cart. Some fairways are pretty beat up. The course is tight (tee boxes and greens close together) so theres balls and players all over the place. We will not be coming back.

Have played there a few times this year and will definitely be one of my regular courses going forward. Love the layout as each hole is very different than the one you just played. Nothing repetitive about this course. Its always is in good shape and the staff is extremely friendly. Cant think of a single con with this course, always have a great time there.

Low expectations based on word of mouth but pleasantly surprised. Great layout. Overall in good shape. Fairways in very good condition. Greens in good condition but a little bumpy from aeration. Some of the traps needed work - wet spots and a puddle in a few. I gather there is new ownership from reading other reviews. Seems to be working.

Linfield National Golf Course is getting better every year. Theyre upgrading about 6 holes a year and clearing brush to make it an even more appealing course. The terrain is varied and offers some unique challenges.

Course was in bad shape. Fairways were horrible, sand traps were hard packed sand and the greens were brown in spots. Played twelve holes and had to stop due to heavy rain and my group was never offered a rain check.

New owner has the course in remarkable condition! Great course, great layout. Great food/bar area. They added an indoor range with new state of the art golf simulator. A++

First time here and will not be back again. Got our tee-time but was not told there was a league in front of us. We waited 20-30 minutes each hole.

Nice course, fairways are just to close to one another. At time we were playing on someone elses fairway and they were playing on ours!!!

Great course for the price. Some of the holes are pretty close together so you may see some other golfers wander over to your fairway.

Nice little course. Well kept. My first time out this season. Holes arent too long, but fairways are narrow.
