Just hosted a wedding at the Brandywine Manor House. Our wedding and reception were both held in the barn which comfortably held our 125 guests, dinner and band. The venue was beautiful and impressed our guests. It was clean and ready to go when we showed up at 11:00 to setup. We hired their onsite wedding coordinator who did an excellent job. We stocked and staffed our own bar. For those who are planning an event, I wanted to pass along a few things we learned. All alcohol and perishables must be removed immediately following the event. There are no trash containers on the site. All bar trash must be removed by your caterer or you. This includes all bottles and cartons. Bring a few trash cans and a pickup truck to help cleanup. I should have considered hiring a cleanup crew so I could spend time with guests at 10:00 PM as they left and attended activities after the wedding. If providing beer in bottles, there is a bottle fee. That does not cover cleanup. I mistakenly thought it did. We had a second bar downstairs in the outdoor courtyard. This second bar doubled the work but was worth it. Guests enjoyed it. Decorations and other non perishables can be cleaned up the next morning, plan on it. Hope you have a great event. We did. It was worth the work. There is no staff to move chairs and tables during the event. This is another duty for the caterer. If something happens during the event like a spill or broken glass, it is not clear who would handle take care of cleanup. This is something you may want to clarify before the event. I hope you have a great event. We did. It was worth the work.

We love the versatility of this location for a wedding. My fiancee and I visited during an open house. There are six caterers to choose from and each get to show off twice per year. The open houses are usually on a Wednesday, but the open house we went to was on a Sunday. We liked that because we were both off of work on Sundays, but we both work on Wednesdays. While we enjoyed the grounds we found that it provided so many areas for photo ops that it became too daunting trying to to find the perfect location!! The lawn was perfectly manicured and everything was well painted. Details were all taken care of, for example the air conditioners were well hidden and the grooms suite had appropriate doors. Overall if we were closer and if our guests were all local we could very well be married here! Any couple would be proud to call the Brandywine Manor House their wedding location!

The Brandywine Manor House is amazing. Its BYO and they serve all organic food. They raise the cows, pigs and chicken on the farm and are all grass fed. Its has a really upscale atmosphere and is set up beautifully. Id recommend it to anyone that loves good food. It was a great dinner and so tender and juicy.

I find it highly disappointing that this venue refuses to honor same-sex marriages. As a result, I would never consider it for my "traditional" wedding either. I hope the proprietors of this fine establishment will join the rest of us in the 21st century sometime soon.

What a venue to have an event! Very welcoming and warm. All the elements of the country side are there. One of the best weddings Ive been to.
