Excellent acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house. My only complaint was the over zealous, very intrusive elderly security lady who made it her mission to threaten people she was going to get security to have them removed from the concert because they were video taping Amos Lee. Is videotaping against the policies? Yes. Was 1/3 to 1/2 of the audience videotaping? Yes. Is it her job to stop videotaping? Maybe. Did she actually succeed in having the select few she targeted out of many videotapers in the back left corner of the theater stop videotaping? NO. She only succeeded in distracting us who were not videotaping. Sigh....

Very nice Facility. But, staff was very rude at times. Totally understand the strong eating policy. No outside food nor drinks allowed but if faculty is going to host a Dance Competition event with age level of children between 6 thru 18 years of age, dancing 4 to 12 hours within a day. There has to be a fair understanding that kids need more to eat than Pretzles, cookies, soda and coffee being sold within the facility. Once again, I strongly believe rules are rules, but it would nice if the facility was able to adapt to the event being hosted.

This was the first time in the Sandler Center and I absolutely loved it. The seating, and the just the facility was wonderful. I venture east from Richmond to see different types of entertainment and I can surely say that if the Sandler have more of what I enjoy, I will be making this my new home for entertainment pleasure. The staff, for the time of my interaction were very helpful and they made you feel welcome. If you are looking for a great place to experience your love of the Arts, the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is the place.

Easy access, fairly easy parking but still need to allow time to walk a little bit. Friendly ushers, okay I know some of them from performing organizations, and I think its a great idea to have these volunteers greet us, welcome us, and usher us into the performances. Comfortable seating, good views everywhere, always enjoy going to the Sandler, and so happy Va Beach has this venue for so many excellent performers, international, national, regional, and local. Thanks!

I saw masters of illusion there and it was a good show. The sound and atmosphere were good. Parking wasnt bad. The only negative thing is, the seating is very close and makes it hard to get by people who are already seated, or for people to get by you when your seated. Its worse than the movie theatre for sure. Thats what kept it from 5 stars for me.

Beautiful inside. The staff was terrible. Never book a wedding here. Liz Rea is the event coordinator, the most rude and impersonal person Ive ever dealt with. She was rude to almost every family member that helped me with my wedding. She was a nightmare. We will never book any event here. Go to an event, yes. Very nice inside

Spoke with some really kind and helpful people and went to the Beauty and the Beast play with my then girlfriend. I reached out and was able to set up a proposal with the staff and the rest is history. Very grateful to the people that helped me give my girl a dream proposal!

The main theatre is beautiful and a fantastic place to view a performance. The black box theatre is a great room for small performances and events. I especially have enjoyed the "Out of the box" concerts there.

A wonderful venue and the cast is always amazing! Ive had the privilege of seeing beauty and the beast, the holiday pops, and hello Dolly! I cant wait for the rest of their season!!
