Stopped out near Deer Creek Hills Preserve in Sloughouse to watch the Perseid Meteor shower. Parked on the side of Latrobe Rd where its a 3-4 lane wide dirt road in the dark. Got kick off the public unused toad by the County Mounties. Maybe a dozen cars went past us in the 2hrs we were there. Two middle aged adults sitting on the side of the road with about half a dozen other cars. "Were blocking a county road." That isnt used and were on the side in front of our car watching meteors. AND there are atleast 2 lanes of road width wide open. Who ever patrols that area needs to relax a bit. I felt like I was 18 getting busted for having a beer partying in my car in the woods. They were seriously going to cite us for a violation. Deputy Dog, were watching meteors on the side of an unused dirt road. We arent drinking beers, littering, or vandalizing the weeds. Totally pathetic. And a waste of county resources.

Not many people can really describe the the phrase "peace and serenity" May be not even me but what I do know is the peacefulness and scenery is perfect and beautiful in deer creek hills and its so close I just dont understand why this place isnt just jammed pack... Not saying I want it to be but all I can say me and my younger kids had the best time just being in nature and not hearing the hustle and bustle of life. Thanks deer creek hills and the gate man... I forget his name its my fault... But he is has the best job ever and is the nicest man Ive met in a while. Good job and keep up the good work...GO NATURE!!!

So much fun for off-road adventures But dont make a mess out there or you will ruin it for everyone else. Great place to go out with a group and try to get stuck. Bring a winch. Lol
