The Tripoli Shrine is located in downtown Milwaukee and is one of the most unusual buildings in the city. The architectural design is based on that of the Taj Mahal. It was built in 1928 and is now a registered historical site in the city. There are a variety of (very) ornate rooms and halls which can be rented for meetings, parties or wedding receptions. Tours of the building are available. The building is handicap accessible and there is parking adjacent to the building.

I was so impressed with the architecture of the building and the availability of unique rooms for social events. We had our daughter’s Quinceañera there and have frequented the Friday night Fish Fry on many occasions. The Taj Mahal of Milwaukee! Havent been, but heard the New Years Eve party is a night to remember.

While this venue was convenient with plenty of parking, I would not hold another event at this location again. Their staff was not attentive to our needs during the event, were not prepared for our AV needs which they said they could provide, and have been awful to deal with while trying to finalize billing.
