Well, if there was an option for half star I would have loved to give that. So, that day, the medical college party for the department I work in was at Landmark lanes and all the people working there were invited. I am almost 30 years old and there is no way I look younger than 25. That evening I forgot to bring my wallet with me and so did not have my driving license to show as proof of age. The store manager asked me for ID. I said I forgot my ID, I am here for the Medical college party and I showed him my Medical college ID. But this guy was so rude, he wouldnt let me go inside. Plus, he tells me that he is the store manager. You know what, I dont care whether he is store manager or sweeper. He should have just said that you cannot drink and given me the wrist band that underage people wear. But he just made me wait at the gate. Then a friend of mine saw me and told the head of the department and the administrative staff person. When the administrative staff person came to my rescue then this rude fellow gives me the wrist band and tells me that I cant drink. I dont drink alcohol anyway. I think this discrimination is because I dont have white skin. I think people are treated that way at Landmark. Landmark sucks!! These kind of guys just act like they are doing their duty so seriously but its all nonsense. They are just trying to show their authority on people who are not even going to offend any rules. I want to say it again Landmark SUCKS!!

Concerning being denied entry Landmark Lanes last night (only to play Dance Dance nonetheless): In color, my 6 year old ID, in black and white a copy of my 4 year old ID that was kept by police back in December. The difference? Literally a queer haircut and now days a few new scars. My face is the same, my smile is the same. I had several other cards with my name on it and would have been happy to provide a signature, but to have my appearance scrutinized by strangers who clearly dont believe a word coming out of my mouth. When I returned to talk to them about finding different ways of validating an ID and an apology, Kevin (manager) tells me that the fact I got emotional after defending myself and identity at length and being forced to talk about my assault to explain why I am missing a tooth, was another reason not to believe me. Not believing a woman about her assault is bad enough, but to suggest that the fact she got emotional after not being believed is evidence that she is lying is just cruel and totally twisted. Not being believed or taken seriously is a huge problem for women in general and ESPECIALLY when it comes to our experiences involving sexual assault. And writing women off for being emotional, there is a word for that, sexism

Many of us have been going to Landmark for years and have always had some great times. The beer prices are great, the selection is spot on, and theres no shortage of things to do. They just started hosting live bands in their side bar and we just had the privilege of playing there. The staff was excellent and very helpful. And while theyre still working to improve the layout and make it more show friendly, you can really tell how excited they are to foster the Milwaukee music scene. We played to a packed house and it was one of the most enjoyable shows weve played in a while. Were only expecting better things from this place as they start to host more live events. If youre a band or musician and are thinking about booking a show here, do it. We definitely plan on playing there again.

I walked through the door and went downstairs only to be flooded with memories. Not being there for over 20 years, certain things have changed. Long ago, when smoking was allowed in bars, you had to wash your hair, clothes and virtually everything to rid yourself of the smell. It permeated everything. I saw the smoke eaters on the ceilings that havent been used in years. Tuesday night drink specials are still there, but have changed a little. My daughter was intrigued, surprised and loved the place that I spent much of my 20s in. Its still the place I remembered. Great for college students and young adults. Lots of activities and a great place to hang out. Only now its smoke free and you dont need to cough up a lung anymore, which is a big plus.

Bowling alley is out dated, there was no other way down to the bowling alley except with stairs, therefore, anyone who has mobility impairments will have difficulty entering the place. In addition, the lanes broke down many times while we were there. Also there were no food options besides vending machines, which had very limited options. Finally, they did not uphold the law of no smoking within 50 ft of the entrance, so people were smoking right outside the door (my friend with asthma had a hard time breathing)

We enjoyed two games of bowling during our time here. The guy at the front was friendly and the lanes were nice. The balls were seriously dented but useable. Overall the place could use a little TLC but we enjoyed ourselves. The bartender has a heavy hand in making his drinks but we were happy for that after the cost of the drink. Overall there were both pros and cons to visiting here. We did enjoy ourselves and will coming back to try the old school arcade area!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars as Ive had a lot of fun times here. A few words of advice - show up EARLY on weekend nights if you hope to get a lane - same with pool tables - they both fill up fast. Reason for the 3 star review has to do with the overall musty smell of this place - I understand its a dive bar but I feel like sometimes it is hard to breathe down there!

Looking for a vintage bowling alley with cool bartenders and juke box. These place has an arcade and three bars inside. Carpet and wood panel on the walls. I suggest a Pabst or a Jack Daniels & Coke. Fun place! Great for family fun during the day or date night. Guaranteed every night you will hear Michael Jackson played at least twice:) Drink specials daily.

Really enjoyed our first time here bowling. Staff seemed miserable, but we rarely interacted with them other than checking in and returning shoes. Very nice lanes, no technical issues, hardly a crowd on a weekday evening. Had fun in the arcade afterwards as there were lots of games to try. Definitely a fun an inexpensive place to spend your evening out.

Great place to hang on North Ave! It has everything you need for a great time out with friends or grabbing a drink before a movie. You can tell this place has a lot of history and attracts a diverse group of people. Lots of everything: character, live music, beers, deals, and games!

A timeless classic. Three separate bars bowling, pool, video games. What more could you ask for. Always drink special every night. Good thing they discontinued the Stumplifter, that caused a few rough nights. Oh and watch out for that Blatz on tap. Youll be on the toilet all day.
