Nice tiny museum with many work tools from the past. Many furs from different animals (fur trading has been the main business for centuries here) Actually if youre low on money I dont know if its worth the 8$ ticket for such a short visit. The modern part is totally not worth it, fortunately there are some nicer rooms in the original part of the musuem. The staff is really friendly!
Wonderful exceptionally helpful staff. Beautiful museum. Looking for info on Ojibwe ancestors and their pictures were on exhibit and books in the shop about them. Wow!!!
In my opinion, next to the nature on Madeline Island, this museum is the next best thing. Great overview of history and life on the island.
A nice museum which preserves the older style of museum display techniques. Excellent collection of native and 1835+ fur trade artifacts.
Great place to learn about the history of past culture and the surrounding area.
Its interesting when I was there they had a native Indian demonstrations
interesting. Nice history of the island. Really nice bathroom
Best old school museum ever!
