The Wehr Nature Center provides the best nature experience in Milwaukee County. There are multiple trails that cover everything from grasslands to wetlands. Over the years the trails (especially the wetland trails) have been improved significantly. The center offers many programs and clubs such as the Wehr Astronomical Society. Some of the trails might be difficult for handicapped but much of the area is accessible. Parking is close and plentiful (unless it is a very popular event like Bug Day or the Cider Festival.) The center is surrounded by Whitnal Park and so there is seldom any road noise distraction.
Un excelente lugar para disfrutar de las grandes áreas verdes, no olvides dar tu recorrido al rededor del lago hasta encontrar la cascada.

Absolutely a jewel of south east Wisconsin. I cant say how much places like this need to be protected and cherished for future generations. Only bad thing I can say about this place is "little options" for bathrooms. Otherwise, highly recommended
easy walking trails, with bridges and boardwalks over marshy areas. the center itself is very nice and they host activities throughout the summer. also a waterfall at the edge of the lake!
I love this place! They have awesome outings and activities year round for very reasonable prices. Its a beautiful park.
The building and bathrooms are open 8-4:30pm. There are refreshments available for purchase as well as a friendly staff!
Fantastic trails, well kept, for all ages and lifestyles.
Beautiful waterfall and trails
Not pet friendly, rude staff.
