I grew up on the seeing Big Bend golf course out my back window as the 17th Green sits across the Coal River from my house. The last 2 reviews written are by the same EdWill character who apparently has some vendetta against the course. It has been a great family destination for years and is where i learned how to play the game. It is consistently one of the best kept courses in the Kanawha County, full of memories and friendly people. There is a driving range on site, which most of these so called Country clubs do not offer. The friendly people of St. Albans who play there also add comfort and enjoyment to your experience. This place will always be my home course, and will make you feel right at home as well.

The flattest land Ive seen throughout all of WV. Very nice staff. Greens are fairly flat, have burned spots and many divots in need of repair. Tee boxes are in rough shape as well. Fairways are in good condition for a public course. No water coolers throughout the course, so stock up at the clubhouse.

I love this course its probably my favorite 18 hole course in the Valley. Much of the terrain is flat and located next to the Coal River. It can be played on foot or in a cart.

Course is in really good shape. Better than it has been, but some of the fairways are a bit burned up and have bare spots. But the greens are in good shape.
