First time to the park today for my dogs first birthday! Everything seemed well maintained & the off-leash play park, walkways, & beach access were all great. I like how the beach access has an additional entry/exit gate. There was plenty of water available to drink as well as to spray off muddy paws or feet in the play area (it is mostly sandy/gravelly? with some grass/small rocks. The wooden benches near the water would normally seem like good places to sit but the smell of dog urine was strong (I guess you cant keep them from marking?). I did notice many people walking ahead/behind their digs and not noticing/not caring when the dog went #2 (I would have missed mine too since he ran ahead playing with another dog, but my conscientious sons made sure to tell me and point to the spot!) At the beach, there is a giant fallen tree lying sideways in the water that entertained my boys for at least half an hour, sitting & climbing on it. Im not sure if it always there but we loved it. There are also a few picnic tables to sit on and a couple of benches, which is great because the ground is mostly wet/sandy/muddy.

Great park with a lot of activities. Has a large and very active dog park with dog beach. A lot of soccer fields that can and have been also used for rugby, football, ultimate frisbee, etc. There is a nice playground for small children, a childrens garden, community garden, beach, walking paths, baseball diamonds, and an excellent kite flying hill. There are frequent 5k/10ks in the park as well as other activities that can be found on the Magnuson park website. There is a nearby outdoor education group, Waldorf school, gym, Sailing at Sandpoint, Tennis courts, frequent hackathons in park buildings as well as a whole building with working artists. Excellent contribution to the community and area.

This park has everything, especially if youre looking to bring a dog. Theres a baseball field, rugby field, soccer field, basketball court, huge off leash dog section, nice trails, and open fields. We brought our 5 month old puppy for the first time, and there was so much to keep him excited and safe. The off-leash area has multiple sections, each with double-gate entrances. Theres a section for play with other dogs, big open fields and trails, and even a beach on the lake.

Magnuson Park is one of the largest, most diverse public parks in Seattle in terms of the recreational opportunities offered. Whether youre looking to stroll through restored wetlands, explore historical buildings from when the park was a navy base, or get out on the waters of Lake Washington, Magnuson Park has so much to offer. Highlights include sailing at Sail Sand Point, walking amongst old submarine fins planted into the ground, and blackberry picking in the summer.

The Magnuson Park Boat Launch is really the best game in town for anyone trying to get their boat into Lake Washington from the North and West side of Seattle. The launch area is well organized with clear signage. Usually there is a launch attendant helping to direct traffic on busy days. Sometimes there are large lines to get in and out of the water so plan ahead. Also, the only immediately nearby bathroom facilities are 2 porta-potties.

Just a couple portable toilets. They dont show up on the map, but trust me - theyre there. They are average, fairly clean and have some amenities: toilet paper dispensers of hand sanitizer paper towels a separate urinal I dont know how long these restrooms will be around, but I think theyve been in this place for a couple years. I recently had the good fortune to use one right after it had been emptied (this review is from December 2008).

Former naval air station offers expansive views of Lake Washington, Kirkland, and the Cascades beyond. On clear days one can see dozens of peaks. Dogs are allowed off leash in large double gated areas, so visiting is a must for dog owners. Im less enthusiastic about nature walking here, though there are several trails, including one through wetlands. Nice for a picnic, though, with Mt. Rainier an always captivating backdrop.

This used to be a Navy Base. One of the best little "hiding places" during a work day if you need to de-stress for a second, or even for an end-of-day urban hike. Its huge and has many spots to explore. The little beach is cute and is sometimes staffed with a lifeguard. I have been here for years and have seen the improvements done by Seattle Parks and Recreation. Kudos, Seattle City.

Huge park with various recreational areas, gardens, hidden gems of various apple and crab apple trees, quite a bit of pond, bat, and bird wildlife. Open spaces for the family, great hill to fly kites or for some practicing belaying. Fairly large dog park as well. An interesting place with a solid history in the Seattle region.

Great park, I would say very big, has many spots, to reserve or not. Few great places to swim. Almost all along the beach is great for swimming, small kids pool. I knew this park since I moved to WA, its great place for large group of people, for events. And or just to chill with your friends or loved ones.

Big, sprawling, wonderful park filled with memories. Easily accessible from the Burke-Gilman and contains dozens of hidden walking and bike paths. Plenty of group picnic areas that can be reserved online and also home to "Kite Hill" which is a great place to...well Im sure you can figure that out.

The only washrooms at the park are portables in their parking lot. If your kids can make it a few minutes, there are nicer washrooms in the tennis center, as well as a little coffee shop inside. The playground and fields are great and there is also a sandbox and a covered picnic shelter.

Great Huge Park. I have a GSP and it was big enough for him to run all over the place. It was bigger then I even thought. My only issue was the fence that goes out into the water doesnt go out far enough to stop the dogs from walking around the fence. Otherwise, this park is AMAZING!

Great park, there is a large variety of activities going on. The restored habitat is worth a trip alone, as there is plenty of space and wildlife to observe. The sports complex is great, both outdoor and indoor facilities. The dog park and Beach front are great and easy to access.

I play soccer here on Saturday mornings. Fields are good, but will need to be returf soon. Generally always clean. Lots of trash cans and recycle bins. Restrooms are honey buckets. This past weekend there was a limebike in one of the buckets. Thought it was funny, and I lold by myself.

Excellent place for spending a day or evenings next to Washington lake. Has several day picnic areas and group get-together tents for parties. Nice swimming area for everyone with lifeguards on site during day time. Has a boat ramp too and a nice trail for a walk.

One of the better parks in the Seattle area. Big open space for dogs to run around and some different paths that you can walk down. Can get muddy and expect to get somewhat dirty even if it isnt raining. There is a waterhole for dogs but very little covered areas.

Great place to take your family including your dog. Place is HUGE, has a large beach, tennis courts (that can need some work), a kids play area, giant facility for all sorts of sporting events. Its a nice place to go walk and hangout with friends and family.
